Wow…Loved this episode! Have been interested in food trucks for some time and always wondered where/how they originated. I have eaten some good and not so great food from a variety of trucks and some times the price has not indicated the best food though.I have my favourite trucks. Great research on your parts! Thanks!

Pretty good podcast, especially for one not connected to an official network! I like how brief the episodes are (although sometimes they can be a bit too short and not explore topics to their fullest) and the hosts line up interesting topics/interviews. The hosts can be a bit repetitive (such as repeating things an interviewee has just said in basically the same language), but you can tell they are interested in the subject matter and are improving their style with each episode. Give it a try for sure!

Excellent podcast!

Good idea, poor execution.

I find myself really wanting to like this podcast because of its content and concept, but it's poorly executed. Besides the fact that it feels incredibly scripted (even their attempts at witty banter seem awkwardly scripted), it's also full of unrelated bits of production.
I just listened to the BBQ boat episode, and was really put off that I was honestly listening nearly unedited recordings of friends talking on a boat about nothing. People I don't know and don't talk to, just catching up. I don't think it's relevant that the host couldn't distinguish her friend from her friend's sister, or that her friends are listening to her podcast.
I think it's also unfortunate that they do not have a few episodes in their bank for when they are busy. I'd rather have no episode than an episode where they actually say, "I don't know the answer to that, I'm too busy to look it up."
All in all, a good idea, but could use more focus. I'm also surprised there are only 24 5-star reviews because they even said in one episode that they were getting 2-star reviews for sounding scripted. Where did those reviews go?

It’s not about the food!

Ok, it is about food, but it’s not what you think. It’s history! It’s science! It’s thoughtfully-posed questions about well-researched topics that are related to food. You won’t learn how to bake a cake listening to this podcast (well, you might learn how to make a Benjamin Franklin-style parmesan cheesecake, but it’s not really about how to make food). You’ll learn the kinds of facts and tidbits that you love dropping into conversations with others to make yourself seem really smart. It’s like the 99pi of food. Seriously, give this podcast a shot.
