...do you have ENOUGH science fiction in your life? I would posit you do not. Anywho, here’s more, and it’s delightful!

This show is the best source for short science fiction stories in audio form. Unique story selections, delivered by a wide array of narrators have kept me subscribed for over 10 years, now!

Escape Pod is a great podcast in theory, but in practice it falls a little short. Sci-fi is a very broad genre and the episode descriptions could really use a bit more detail. They include info about the author, the narrator, and then for some weird reason it includes a transcript of the actual story. I just want a bit of detail about what kind of sci-fi each story is. Are there robots? Aliens? Hard or soft sci-fi? Alternate timeline? Or is it the all to often sci-fi story that isn't really a sci-fi story. As far as actual content goes, that's my major complaint. Too many stories that could be written in any genre and feel like the sci-fi elements are tacked on.

The podcast itself is well produced. The hosts do a good job (although I miss Mur Lafferty) and I enjoy the feedback about previous episodes. Here's hoping the story content and episode descriptions can catch up.

Great stories and great readers make this a really enjoyable podcast!

Not to sure why there aren't more reviews. This is by far on the best podcasts on iTunes. I get excited to download the latest episode and make time to relax to listen to another fantastic episode. Stories are great and as mentioned....am awesome way to escape. Keep up the stuff..peace :)

Awesome podcast...why hasn't it been updated recently?

Im a subscriber and I love this podcast, but lately Ive noticed a glitch in a few episodes... Every now and then, theres a loud, 2 beat clicking sound and the last few seconds of audio before the click repeats itself. Its not really annoying, but Id still rather be able to fully focus on the wonderful stories. Great work and keep it up !

The grand-daddy of Science Fiction podcast magazines, Escape Pod can be counted on for some of the very best SF in the podosphere. Steve Eley and Jeremiah Tolbert really know how to have fun with Science Fiction audio.

For years now Escapepod has consistantly put out top notch scifi. Every story isn't a 5/5 for me, but most are. Great selection of stories, professionally read. I can't say enough good things about escapepod.

Great Podcast filled with nothing but back to back gold. Perfect for letting your mind escape for an hour at a time.

I found this by accident after exhausting my wallett on audiobooks. I find the short SF stories to be 95% entertaining and 5% intriqing. The podcasts are also just the right size for my commutes or walking the dog, varying anywhere from 35 min upto 1n hour.

The host gives a quick witty introduction and follows the stories up with comments from other shows.

The talent who reads the stories vary and keeps you listening intently upto the very end.

If you're looking for entertainment for those long drives or something to do in the car with your kids (most of the stories are family friendly), then you can't go wrong with this podcast.

I look forward to story-time every week. Some are awesome, some, not so much. But I listen to all of them. Steve Eley and Escape Pod is a welcome regular to my podcast line-up.
