Three years ago, I listened to this podcast all the time. Then I got busy and forgot about for a while.
Recently, I rediscovered the podcast and am absolutely loving it. I relate to Dana so much, as someone who is cleaning-challenged. By listening to the podcasts as I clean, I have already started to improve my house.
I highly recommend this podcast for anyone who needs gentle fun advice about cleaning and organizing that doesn’t make you feel guilty.

I was always so overwhelmed!!! And couldn’t figure out how to keep on top of changed.
There was always dishes either dirty or air drying in my way when trying to make diner!!
My I felt like oh god I have to do the laundry again! Or this needs to be done again! Didn’t I just do this?
But now I follow what she says and I’m like I don’t think about laundry unless it’s Monday! And I don’t worry about dishes because I do them once a day ( twice if we eat all meals at home) if there is a dish in the sink after today whatever I will do it tomorrow!
Thanks Dana for helping making my life easier

Need this but it’s very repetitive

Every episode repeats a lot of what has been said before. I listen in the car so I usually have 1 point that I can use while the rest of the half hour I’ve heard before. Some good ideas on routines (dishes/laundry) and container concept. Worth listening to.

I just found your social media presence at the beginning of March but you have already changed my life. I have been working towards decluttering and getting control of my home for two years this month and I was getting rid of the extra stuff but I still couldn’t manage what i needed day to day. Your just do the dishes mantra has revolutionized the way I tackle each day. I reference this podcast and Nony’s blog in my Instagram stories all the time @mama.in.a.madhouse because I am beyond obsessed with how much better this cleaning philosophy has made my life!

Listening to the podcast has been life-changing. With today's focus on Marie Kondo type decluttering, the term life-changing has been thrown about a lot lately, but thanks to A Slob Comes Clean, I have finally seen a sustained difference in how I focus on my life and my home. I have been listening to Dana for about a year, and some of the podcasts feel like I'm sitting down with my best-friend having coffee, chatting about real solutions for my home-making problems.
Too many podcasts and cleaning 'solutions' just present lists of things to do, direct you to throw out half your possessions, and make it sound like it's just a matter of will-power. It was very depressing to know these methods work for most of the world but not for me. I felt worse than ever before after trying to clean. Then I found Dana and she truly understands how my brain works. I started doing my dishes every day and decluttering using her methods and suddenly I see a noticable difference in how my home looks and how I view my ability to keep up with life.
I have listened to every one of the episodes and look forward to more every week.

I am wired the same way as you Dana, I finally stopped piling and got my house under control. I have lived for years with piles and you have given me some major AHA moments, it now makes sense to me and I too can have a clean home.

It clicked!

Listening to Dana’s podcast and reading her book has been so good for me. She has helped me actually make progress in changing the way I am able to look after my home by putting the size of tasks into perspective. Things aren’t overwhelming like they once were to me. I don’t have unrealistic expectations anymore, thinking I need to be a minimalist to get control of my home. Some things she discusses are common sense but she has a way of saying things that just make it click. I listen while I wash dishes and do housework. Since discovering her I have started at the first podcast and worked all the way through. I listen so much that my self talk in my head while tidying etc now includes ‘y’all’ and my 5 year old calls Dana ‘your decluttering lady’.

Everything fits in my closet now!

Lots of great tips! I especially like Dana’s perspective of accepting your own limits/flaws and then working around them instead of trying to force a method that works for other people but not you. And the Container Concept blew my mind. I downsized 9 months ago, and I’ve had boxes sitting in every spare corner since then. Between this podcast and The Heart of Organizing, I’ve finally been able to pare down enough to get everything into the closets! I mention this other podcast because the two cover the same topic from completely different perspectives, with very different (but compatible) tips, so they’re great to listen to together. Thanks Dana and keep up the great work, in the podcast and in your home!

This is real life!

This podcast is so great! Not everybody is as together as Marie Kondo (a la Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up fame) and can't be bothered to worry about how they're folding their socks when they can barely get them out of the hamper and into the sock drawer (me, for example). I strive to get there one day, but in the meantime, Nony is my spirit animal! Finally I've found a method to tackle my decluttering and organizing and cleaning in a way that is not so overwhelming. I've listened to the first 10 podcasts already between last night and today and have started getting to work while listening.

I'm loving these episodes. I am in the running for the Queen of Procrastination & Excuses crown. It's really really nice to know there are fellow slobs that dread the "drop-by-unexpectedly" visits. I've pretended I'm not home many times.
Today, I searched for motivational podcasts and have now listed to 8 of these beauties while I've cleaned. Thanks Nony!
