This is a very entertaining podcast. The perfect mixture of well seasoned science veterans and youthful vitality. Dr. Racaniello and Despommier are equipped with an almost unlimited supply of relevant and entertaining anecdotes, while Dr. Griffin provides less reminiscent examples of science at work in the clinic. This podcast reminds us that the people who suffer from parasitic diseases are no different then many of us increasing our capacity for empathy. It also reminds us that scientists are real people with personalities and biographies as captivating as the creatures they study. Click subscribe!

While I study plant ecology, I am fascinated by parasites - it began when I read “Spillover” by David Quammen. This podcast series is a great way to learn about parasites and the hosts keep it casual AND informative. I love educational podcasts because you can do other things while learning at the same time - like cook dinner or clean. I can’t recommend this one enough; I am so glad to have stumbled upon it.

Informative *and* fun!

I absolutely love the TWiX (TWiM/TWiP/TWiV) series! They join me on my commute. Scientists can tend to get focused on their own, often narrow, field. The TWiX series allows us to stay up to date on diverse topics in microbiology. Like having your own personal journal club in your pocket - but more fun. I especially love Dickson's digressions!

Informative and fun

I gotta say my feeling match those of the majority of TWIP listeners. Fantastic and informative listening. Content is excellent and excellently presented by the hosts and guests. Questions are usually great and the answers are helpful. Keep the episodes coming, please.
I've no formal training in the subject but obtain knowledge from numerous subject areas.

I've only listened to the first few podcasts, but i'm really looking forward to hearing about different parasites. If I could make one suggestion, it would be that I would like more variety.

Thanks for the great podcast

I'm really enjoying the podcast and find it a great way to learn about a fascinating subject that most of us don't know too much about. I'd like to add my vote for the two-a-month campaign, otherwise it'll be months before we get to hear the promised sushi podcast!

Great!!!!!!!!

I love your approach to education. It is not just about the parasite and it's function... It is the history... The search for understanding... The story which gives you an intimate knowledge of it's form and function. Keep up the good work... This format really is the future of open education.
