In a small Tennessee town, a local serial killer was caught by the most unlikely investigators: A group of high school students, led by their teacher, Alex Campbell. Throughout the course of one school semester, the class pieced together a 30-year-old mystery and identified the killer behind at least six brutal murders. Shockingly, while the Tennessee Bureau of Investigations publicly agrees with their theory, no charges have been filed against the murderer. While some sleuthing students already have graduated, they, along with a fresh crop of current high schoolers, still want to finish the assignment, once and for all.
Loved this concept and was so excited for a captivating story however the delivery really fell short of meeting this expectation.
It felt repetitive and he survivors interview was a challenge to listen to, it sounded like she was doing chores during the entire phone interview and it didn’t add much to the development of the story.
I inadvertently missed large chunks of the story, or found myself asking myself wait, who are they talking about, which speaks to the story telling.

Very good, but could have been great!
Murder 101 has a very strong story. It’s very interesting to hear about the students and how they connected all the dots. That is what attracted me to the show in the first place. Unfortunately, that part of the podcast is very short and it started to drag in the second half of the season. The show should have been a few episodes shorter to ensure the quality of the content to be high the entire time. My biggest issue was with the sound. It is sometimes so hard to hear what is being said. It often sounds like they added some background noises to add an effect to the show, but it just made everything much harder to hear. If they didn’t do that, then while recording people were doing other things and it made it hard for the listeners to hear everything properly. Still a decent show and I’m glad I listened to it all.

Very interesting
What an interesting story.. I certainly would have taken a true crime class if it had been available when I was in high school. The amount of information these kids were able to put together on a case so old was amazing and maybe this will open doors on how/who can help with these cold cases. I also want to give a shout out to one of the students - Riley - she was very impressive when it comes to vocalizing her thoughts and opinions. Very well spoken. I would not be surprised if she one day becomes a detective or FBI agent. I’d recommend this podcast for sure. The only thing that was annoying were the ads - lots. I just skipped them, and what can you do but there are lots and allll the same. It didn’t make me discontinue though

Needs editing
I wanted to like this podcast as I love the others done by KT Studios, but it needs some major editing. The phone interviews drag on and on and the teacher eventually seems more of a host than the actual host. I had to stop listening before the last episode.

Too much ads and repetition
I think all of these episodes could’ve been made into ONE solid episode!
The show started well, but I listened to the first 4 episodes only (on 1.5x) and I'm going to stop! because in order for me to catch some little new information, i have to listen to 10 minutes of ads and a bunch of repeated info!
Its very distracting & frustrating.

What about the students?
This was supposed to be about how some high school students cracked a murder case?
All I hear is Alex Campbell trying to become famous with one of the worst interviews ever. Very disingenuous. The poor survivor was treated badly .

Could have been great
I thought this was such a cool story but unfortunately with all of the ads and the story being drawn out, it was very hard to get into and each episode revealed very very little.

Murder 101
This is a really excellent show. I love the combination of teacher, students and professionals. The idea that this or these profiles may be used for cold cases is out standing. Keep going. I can't wait for more episodes.

Awesome!
I absolutely loved it! What an engaging, intelligent way to teach! Im sure students who didn’t think they liked school started to realize learning could be fun and not such a struggle! Furthermore to realize at such a young age what a difference they could make uniting and using critical thinking! An excellent production of the podcast! I want more!!! Congratulations to all of you for making a difference! I bet future career paths were decided from this! 5 stars plus! SHABAM!

9:53 out of 49:00 is ads
In just the first episode I heard four ads for the same sibling podcast, three ads for the same true crime pod and a few others, the first two minutes of the ep we’re ads as well as the last two with two ~3 min ads in between. Why spend so much time replaying the same ad? Story is good but the annoying ads are not worth it.
