Description

At Popular Science, we report and write dozens of science and tech stories every week. And while a lot of the fun facts we stumble across make it into our articles, there are lots of other weird facts that we just keep around the office. So we figured, why not share those with you? If podcast is aimed at teenagers of average or below intelligence then I suppose it might survive. The rest of us however need to steel ourselves for an annoying barrage of juvenile and unnecessary vocal fry, up-talking, and like...the incessant like useless like use of the like word “like”. Very unfortunate, ruins the podcast.

Yes!!!

I’m laughing and learning at the same time - what could be better!?

How many times can you say “like” in one sentence?

These girls try to find out. Doesn’t matter what the subject, they try, like, to say ‘like’ so many, like, times that you’d, like, think that they didn’t, like, actually have any, like, idea what they are, like, talking about. OMG, the only thing they, like, say other than, like, like is OMG!

Love it!

I listen to podcasts mostly when I’m out walking the dog, and I am constantly grinning when I listen to these gals, or laughing out loud. It’s such a fun way to learn new things while feeling like I’m just chatting with some friends. Thanks Weirdest Thing team!

Listening to these women ( and occasional men) laughing and frankly giggling sometimes about science is one of my great pleasures.

Highly entertaining and full of weird facts, as advertised!

I've learned so many morbidly fascinating and wonderfully weird things from this podcast, delivered in a most entertaining way! Thanks, PopSci, for making sure I always have something strange to tell people in those awkward silences at parties, even if it leads to a whole different kind of awkwardness...

My favorite podcast

Funny, interesting, informative... although I'm not sure how I'll put this newfound knowledge of horse butts to use.
