I have not been listening that long and am new to the industry so frankly, had no idea who these people were (literally found this doing a search on Apple podcasts...sorry guys!). Imagine my surprise when I realized I am literally a customer of each of the hosts and have literally thought to myself “geez this product is so darn clever!” at least once for each of them! So to hear that the same brain that made the brilliant product XYZ also had stupid ideas, or gets anxious, or struggles with getting a project wrapped up and how they found work-a-rounds is pretty helpful to me as a new, self taught, isolated artist. I also find that although the conversations can go off on tangents and get somewhat convoluted at times, they always bring it back at the end with take away s that are worth the listen - even above and beyond the benefit of feeling part of a community of folks that struggle with the same issues, even when they are very successful. They already feel dangerously close to old dear friends after a few months of listening so good thing I have no idea what they look like because I could see myself going up to them and just starting to complain about my teenager if I ran into them on the street. Keep up the great work you Rock-Doggies!

I absolutely loved this podcast. I was searching for something informative and entertaining to listen to while working on my art projects, so I was really happy find these guys! The hosts are great. This show is a lot like hanging out with some good art buddies, something I miss while working in my studio. I especially appreciated that they kept things “honest” and clean. But... I noticed a downward turn in humor and language in the last few episodes. I love these guys, but am really disappointed in the direction it has gone recently. I’d like to ask them to please keep things clean! I’m sure future podcast guests wouldn’t mind not using offensive language for just a few minutes, especially if you asked nicely. Some of your listeners would be soooo greatful!

This podcast is great for people who are established designers or new to the design game. The team have their own experiences in their career and give out some good, HONEST advice. They occasionally have guests on the show as well, and cover some insightful and important topics. I also LOVE the chemistry between the group, I’m surprised how often I end up laughing out loud to this podcast!

Love listening to the Honest Designers crew on my long commutes. Gives me inspiration and fantastic tips for when I do my own work!

I stumbled upon this podcast a few days ago when I was looking for something to listen to while I lettered. I've had it on every day since and can't say enough good things about it. I love how casual and accessible the discussions are. The topics are very relatable and useful, especially in moments where I've felt stupid or alone, as creatives often do. I've even gone back to old episodes and re-listened so I could take notes. I love this group of people and hope this podcast continues for a long time. ❤️

There is no magic formula for a successful graphic design business. Thank you for opening up about your experiences, sharing important advice and reminding us that it's okay not to have all the answers all of the time. I've been in the industry over 10 years and recently started by own business... I may have had the guts to do it sooner if something like this had been around.

Hey, finally getting a chance to really give it a good listen without distractions and I'm loving it! I went to design school between '96-98 and then got lost in the web development world and thought I wasn't good enough to go back to my roots and really design again. It's great knowing that there are others who struggle with many of the thoughts and doubts I've had - even the pros. I really love all the thoughts you bring, the honesty and the transparancy.

Again a winner! I have been paralyzed with imposter syndrome for months and really need to get my site launched. Thanks for all the great advice. I love you guys. Not condescending. Not over the top and not talking about a bunch of inside jokes...

As an aspiring illustrator and letterer, I'm so glad I came across this podcast (heard about it via email from RSC). The first two episodes have been so very helpful and relevant for me. I love that the conversation is casual but still stays on point. I think the mix of contributors and expertise is great. If you need information about designing, web graphics, artistic stuff, fonts, etc. this is an excellent source. It's not boring, either! The hosts are top experts in their fields, and I am looking forward to the next episode, for sure!
