Since giving up his life as a government assassin, Robert McCall (Denzel Washington) has struggled to reconcile the horrific things he's done in the past and finds a strange solace in serving justice on behalf of the oppressed. Finding himself surprisingly at home in Southern Italy, he discovers his new friends are under the control of local crime bosses. As events turn deadly, McCall knows what he has to do: become his friends' protector by taking on the mafia.

Understand it’s the last. Shame. Could watch Denzel in this role for 20 more films.

No subtitles for just when they speak Italian.

Got this movie on release date. Today and watched it but even on automatic it won’t show what the Italians are saying. Almost half the movie is in Italian. Had to have it on even for the English. Kind of sucks

formulatic, nothing new. felt like the weakest of the 3 with no real emotional ties, albeit with heavy nods. just okay, worth a watch

Good if formulaic

Denzel isn’t going to win any awards but if you’re fan of his or the genre, it’s a decent movie to put your brain in neutral for awhile. Saw it on IMAX and scenery (Sicily) was wonderful. Typical story. Despite the violence, there’s a happy ending. Worth it.

Great Movie

I personally think it’s the best equalizer movie yet. Saw it at the cineplex theatre. I probably go back and watch it once more. Then once it’s available to purchase. I’ll buy it.
