Unexpected but good

This book broke my heart. I was expecting another dessen novel. I had picked it up wanted to find the happy ending. The comfort that her books brings to all her readers. It was just do said. And so unlike what I was expecting. It was a great book though, just be prepared to cry. I did. I'll tell you one thing though this book makes you think. And I don't think I'll ever forget about it.

Simple but engaging

I accidentally bought this book and was thus forced to read it. The narrative was very simple, suited for a teenager with a short attention span. This made the story very engaging and every time I picked it up again, I knew exactly where I had left off.
I agree with the other reviewers in that the characters were very well developed. However, I feel like if this book was made into a movie, it would be over in half an hour. There isn't much development in the plot, it doesn't get very dramatic or racy (as I had expected reading the other reviews) but it was definitely engaging.
I feel cheap having read it, but satisfied at the same time.

p.s. I meant to buy the other "Dreamland" by Kevin Baker.
