Couldn’t put it down!!
Couldn’t put it down! Loved it! The Knights are a family with “defective” parents, but the siblings (3 brothers and a sister) have an incredibly strong, loving and supportive bond. They also own and operate a very successful business together. Parker is the middle brother, nicknamed “Switzerland” for two reasons: he’s always the impartial brother in any family discussions, and, for his love of skiing. In his youth, Parker was a champion skier, but a sport injury and then a car accident (where his fiancée was killed) has brought him into the folds of his family’s successful business in order to “make a living”. During a business trip, Parker has car trouble and is left on the doorstep of a local B&B for a few days in order to wait for the local mechanic to fix his vehicle. There, he meets Emily, a local baker in the small town, and the daughter of the inn’s owner. Sparks fly between Parker and Emily, but because of the temporary nature of Parker’s stay, both lovers are reluctant to consider a long term relationship. Parker lives clear across the country and works in the family business, but is he happy there? Emily is getting over an abusive relationship, she has come home to heal, and she wants to stay in the small town where she has finally put down roots. They dearly love each other, but will they find a reason to be together.
