Got hooked immediately. However the text in spots is confusing to readers who read every word. Eg: one minute a character is driving a truck, yet they arrive at their destination in a car. Chapter seventeen says zak moves in with Nadine (much to Watson's chagrin) but in the next book Bittersweet he's still living in the basement. Many more examples exist. Loved the Twisted Cedars series.
