She made it easy for the reader to understand and relate to courage it takes for one dealing with such a crumping condition.

Yes that is what this book is. It’s a crossover of all books written by Pepper. Well if you are a fan, you’ll love it.

Another fabulous book but there were a few annoying things: 1-how Tess

and Pim and then Pim and Q communicated so badly with each other. How there were so many misunderstandings because they didn’t stop and listen and just assumed things. 2- how ill-equipped safety-wise, Q and his family were, given his extremely dangerous mission of taking down slave owners. Did Q not have a panic room? 3- the stupidity of the Chinmoku ringing the doorbell and the even bigger stupidity of Elder answering the door. What was the point of the Chinmoku dismantling the sensors if they were going to announce their arrival by ringing the doorbell? 4- why didn’t all of them just escape in the helicopter, wait out the Chinmoku until Elder was properly healed, then bring the fight to a better location where they could be better prepared? 5- why didn’t Q call in reinforcements from his cop friends or anyone else? Why didn’t the women call for police backup as soon as they saw Chinmoku climb up? For all Q’s apparent wealth, I’m shocked he was so ill-prepared. Didn’t he have snipers? His house is a half-way house and he didn’t have more protection? 6- Tess and Q SERIOUSLY have NO concept of proper timing for kisses in the middle of a fight. And why waste so many bullets on a dead guy? Loved the book but not as much as the rest of the series.
