Worked great!
I used this app when travelling Iceland and I found no major issues. In the past, it has been buggy, but I believe most of the problems have now been resolved. Definitely a great idea for their group travel and to keep track of everyone and everything.

Terrible app
I have been on many G adventure trips over the last 12 years or so. The actual trips are great.
But this app, like their website, sucks. Their website was better 10 years ago that it is now, and this new app is even worse. Nothing seems to work properly.
At least their website is marginally more functional.
Please get your act together, G adventures!

Disappointing
The app has all the potential and none of the advertised features. G as a tour company is great but the app is buggy, the chat feature doesn’t work, and it’s nonstop glitches. It would be incredibly helpful if it worked, though! Hire some developers and fix it, please!

works like a gem
They must have updated the app since these bad reviews came out, because I LOVE it!
The app works perfect, and even has info that the online website doesn’t have so I recommend downloading for the additional features. For ex, the mobile app will show the exact calendar dates of your itinerary instead of just “day 1, etc”. It also has really visually appealing and functional visa info, maps, packing list, and more about your trip itinerary. Great app!

Doesn’t work
This app is so glitchy. Chat has worked for me off and on and now I can’t even see the itinerary of the trips as I used to. It’s getting worse instead of better.

Sad Missed Opportunity
I love traveling with G but their app is a terrible insult to all their customers. For years and years now it is the most useless, non-functional, glitchy, unreliable app I have ever used. Rarely works and when it does is so glitchy with such little or inaccurate information that it’s laughable.
What a sad state of affairs for a million dollar company to be represented by such inferior and unsatisfactory “app”. PLEASE DO BETTER BRUCE !!!

Doesn’t work!
First of all, GAdventures as a tour company are amazing. I’ve been on 3 tours with them and would rate them 5 stars and highly recommended. However this app sucks! It just doesn’t work. I have 2 upcoming trips and when I click on them I just get a loading icon...forever! They advertise all these wonderful things the app is meant to be able to do but I wouldn’t know because I can’t get passed the first screen. And judging by other reviews it’s been a problem for years! This should be an amazing app and very useful and it’s a total disappointment. Don’t advertise an app and even encourage people to download it when it’s not ready and doesn’t function! The team in charge of the app should be let go and G needs to start from scratch and get this right. The fact this has been an issue now for so long must be embarrassing for a company that prides itself on great customer service. Very disappointing!

Pretty useless app
Good thing the people running the trips aren't as bad as this app.
This app is pretty useless. It's supposed to be able to replace you having to look up stuff off the website. But if it doesn't contain the most basic information such as joining hotel what use is this?
They want to make it all fun and friendly with chat and other features that no one uses. Just go back to a basic app that listed what goes on. Where the trip starts and ends. Stuff changes in between. I've been told by countless ceo I've got selective hearing. That's because I'm vacation. I only need to know what is going on today and maybe tomorrow.

Worst App Ever
I love G but this has got to be the worst app and support ever. Trips load and then disappear and after multiple emails, chats and phone calls-nothing works. Take it off the market until it’s ready G!

App doesn’t show My Trips anymore
For a while now, the app hasn’t worked very well. I have a trip next month and I can no longer see the itinerary or packing list or vouchers or anything related to my upcoming trip. I’m logged in and nothing is showing up!

If I could give it 0 stars I would...
It’s time to revert back to the old app ASAP while you fix the new one. Not only does it crash half the time, it has inaccurate or no trip information and the new layout is missing important details that you’d want to see in your itinerary.
For example, I am awaiting my upcoming tour in 2 days and it says I have no upcoming trips, yet 2 weeks ago it was listed as one. So now I can only access the info I need with wifi, which isn’t helpful when you’re abroad in countries with limited access.
The itinerary in the app doesn’t show any accommodation, which is problematic for many reasons but general safety purposes as I’d like to know where I’m staying. It also fails to properly show which meals are included it only says “breakfast...” when in fact on my last trip all meals were covered.
I generally LOVE everything about G, from the research and sales aspect, to the trip itself. But this awful app needs to be fixed asap because it’s seriously impacting the view on service. I was on a 55 day tour and not having it work properly was quite problematic and troublesome...

Not user friendly on the go...
THE OLD VERSION WAS THE BEST, the app changed while I was travelling and it has been disappointing to use.
New version misses the point of using the app on the go, too much going on, I’d rather just look at my own PDFs of the trip info. instead of clicking through the app to get what I need each time.

Recent update completely broke trips and today.
Before 4.0 i used the app mostly to reference the itinerary of my trip, but now after the update the trips page and today page are blank. The chats work but i dont plan on using it until i meet people on the tour face to face.
Will change rating when issues are fixed.

Useful but frustrating
The app used to display a photo shot of each town in the itinerary - now for some reason our app no longer displays the photos. Others who have the same (i)phone still displays. Writing to customer support and also to the app support gets absolutely no acknowledgement or support from either. The app has potential - just not sure how hard they are working on it

Brutal!
There is only one thing worse than this app and that is the customer service of G Adventures, avoid both of them. My wife and I have the same operating system and version of the app, yet totally different problems which makes the app useless. I would bet the only people giving it high rankings are employees

Doesn’t work on iPhone
This app doesn’t even open on my iPhone. I just get a blank purple screen. I’m leaving for my trip in 60 days so I need it to work. I can’t even use it offline cuz it won’t open in the first place so I can put it online.

Why can't I see any of my bookings in this App. I currently have 2 G Adventures trips booked and there is no reference to either of you them in the App. If I can't see my own bookings, the App does not really have any useful function. All it seems to do is take me to G Adventures web pages. What's more, the function to submit a comment to tech support does not work, and "developer website" just points at the marketing website to sell me another trip. This is one of the mist useless apps I have ever seen. All fluff and no functionality.

Wow! Badly Done App
I am a G supporter. I have found them to be a great tour company but this app doesn't work and should be taken down.
Unlike others, I was already registered (through their website), so I could login without difficulty. But it couldn't load my upcoming trip (was stuck either updating currency or uploading images). Interestingly, it was able to load a trip from a year ago.
I will now delete the app.

Not really an app
You can't actually do anything in the app. Once you hit the link to actually browse and book trips it opens up your browser and takes you to the website. What was the point of even making this thing?

I had high hopes for this app. G Adventures charges a premium for their tours so I hoped their app would be a premium app. Sadly it's as poor as their customer service. The app crashes or shuts down when you try to create an account. The option to log in with Google+ or Facebook can't recognize your password even if you're already logged in...
Give this app and G Adventures a skip.

Awesome app
Using it for upcoming trip to Australia and New Zealand. One of the best features is the Itinerary so you can see what the actual date is for say, Day 6 of trip. I see there have been lots of revisions lately (summer of 2016). There is a place in the app to report crashes (when some maps open) and to request new features. Great company and great app.
