Hey Green Shield Canada plan members! GSC on the Go lets you access your benefits plan information wherever you are, whenever you want… unplugged but always connected.
GSC on the Go features*:
• Submit a claim directly from your smartphone or tablet (they’ll be processed instantly).
• Find a health care provider near you
• Access Drugs on the Go – see whether your drug is covered, how much will be covered, and email or download any required authorization forms directly to your physician while you are still in the office
• Show your all-in-one benefit and travel ID card without logging in to the app.
• View your benefit coverage with My Benefits – see how much will be paid and any limits or conditions under your plan
• Check My Alerts for notification of any outstanding claim audits
• Easy access to Change4Life, GSC’s interactive health management portal that supports and encourages you to get and stay healthy.
• Search My Claims History – you asked and we listened! This feature will give you access to the real time status of recently submitted claims as well as details of previously administered claims.
• My Balances – a quick and easy way to check the balance details of your health care and personal spending accounts.
And that’s not all. Over time, we’ll equip GSC on the Go with even more features that allow you to stay even more connected with your benefits plan.

Terrible experience, new user

Just switched to GSC. The app is non-responsive at times, slow, terrible interface and not functional. Can’t view what amounts of coverage you have. It requires you to submit an amount and see what you are eligible for. When I do this, the screen just sits there loading. Maybe the average review score gives a hint.

Awful

This app is so frustrating to work with. The fonts and colours are so small and annoying for the eye. Impossible to read! Submitting a claim is a pain! It asks for the type of treatment with no choice to choose from and no possible way of writing.! I wish you could fo something about it fast guys, this app is simply awful to use.

Not setup for online claims

Cannot make claims from App. To submit a claim have to use web browser and that is not easy. Other claims apps are far more user friendly & straight forward.

Room for improvement

Pretty user friendly overall. Recently switched providers to GreenShield.
Crashes every time when I try to access my ID card feature.
Definitely easier to look up eligibility than my previous insurance company. Photo claim is a great feature but I find it’s taking nearly twice as long to get money deposited in my account than my previous provider. Room for improvement but user friendly.

Pretty useless

Whenever I try to view my card I get the message “ Oops! Something went wrong!” Haven’t been able to view the card once, never mind adding it to the wallet app.

ID Card

How come I can’t access my ID card? Everytime I try I get an error message “oops something went wrong”. It’s frustrating. Submitting claims is ok most of the time though.

Crashing

I just saw a review that said the app crashed quite a bit when any function in regards to filing a new claim or checking information, as well as the developer saying it’s fixed. However that was dated back in January and the problem is still occurring in July. Please fix this issue so the app is actually useful.

Looks nice if only it would work...

I’ve been submitting claims online for years. Logged my info into the app and it’s telling me I do not have the ability to submit online claims. It’s just a simple vision exam claim as well. I should have access to this.

Doesn’t open

Won’t even open

Crashing

Horrible app with no support

You can sign in once and there appears to be a lot of functionality. However when I went to see my coverage card, the app crashed. Looks like this is happening to a lot of people. From then on, when you click on the app, it crashes before a screen is even displayed. Only way to fix is to reinstall and then the and crashing pattern happens again. Come on, what kind to Mickey Mouse app is this? Is there no one QAing this??

Crashes and doesn’t open

Was working right after I installed it and made one claim. Then I closed the app and tried to open it and it crashes and just doesn’t open at all. So that was useless...the other reviews were correct. Guess the issue hasn’t been fixed yet.

Developer needs to read the reviews

I see the developer continues to release new fixes but fails to improve the long standing problems that have been reported by actual users in these reviews.
I have been trying for years to submit claims but continue to receive blank screens and blank menu lists, similar to others already mentioned.
In addition, on several screens the “artists” on the team have used unreadable font.
Function over form please!

Can’t even open the app

Crashing first impression

My benefit plan recently switched to Green Shield, I believe there are some 10,000 lives on the plan. The app crashes over and over again after I try to take a look at my GS card. Extremely frustrating and not a good introduction for myself or all of the others seeking a good experience with a new benefits provider. Please fix ASAP!!
