Email Notification of a Potential Problem
I have a Sensi thermostat in my Canadian home and two Sensi thermostats in my US retirement home. First, it gives peace of mind that I can monitor the temps in both homes from my telephone app no matter where I am. Secondly, if there is a five degree discrepancy between the thermostat setting and the temperature in the house, I will receive an email alerting me of a potential furnace/AC concern. That email has allowed me to follow up on a heating problem in my Canadian home while in the US and arrange for a technician to fix my furnace during an extreme cold spell. I have been very pleased with this thermostat!!

Getting control back!
When you have a house full of people with carte blanche access to your thermostat, Sensi gives back the reigns by allowing you the freedom of maintaining a steady temperature without breaking the bank!!!

Unreliable wifi connection
Most of the time is offline. I have the fastest internet, 2.4 Ghz band is enabled, router not far from the thermostat. And the most frustrating when it goes offline will not connect again by itself. So you have to remove the thermostat from the wall remove the batteries then put them back to connect to the wifi again !!!

When it works it’s fantastic. But that’s when it works because 80% of the time it says “offline” because the thermostat keeps disconnecting from the wifi. It’s extremely annoying and needs to be fixed.

Bad connectivity
Many times I set something on the app but it doesn’t change it on the thermostat, temp, on/ off, etc. Defeats the purpose.

I called my installer and he charged me as my App wasn’t working with the system. My app says I changed the temp but when I physically see the temp gauge it’s different.

This thermostat is “offline” almost 100% of the time. I wish I had never bought it. Tech support has been utterly useless.

When it is working its not too bad pretty straight forward, does what we need it to. The problem is that it quite often disconnects from wifi and will not work. In many cases we have to go to our thermostat and sync the app to it all over again.

I have been using this app for 3 years and love it. I have the app on both my iPad and iPhone and the only problem I have is the app doesn’t display battery and wi fi strength.

Unreliable
Sensi has far too many operational issues. And is too complicated to use. Also I have one in my Garage and it can’t be set to go below 50 degrees F.

Installed it 3 days ago, best installation instructions I’ve ever received. As easy as one two three. So far I’m impressed with how the Sensi app works and look forward to reviewing more of their products. Well done Sensi.

Cabin Sensi Tstat
We set up the thermostat yesterday, setup & Wifi connection went well, loaded the App & good to go. One of the reasons I chose this Wi-Fi thermostat is that the display & command push buttons seemed easy & intuitive, & in use that is the case. Didn’t want a thermostat so complex that you would need a manual to operate it all of the time. Installed at our lake cabin, so will be nice to be able to check the temperature, receive the low temperature alarm if something happens, get the cabin up to temperature in the winter before we arrive RDP

Never worked right from day one replaced it and still doesn’t hold wifi.
We have them on all our shop pellet stoves but started using LUX WIFI thermostat it works awesome wifi is always up working great and less money.

Bonjour je sais pas si c’est déjà en route comme projet dans votre thermostat mais il serait très bien d’intégrer une sortie 24 V avec un relais pour l’humidité donc mettre un Bornier de plus HUM pour humidité et lorsque le point de consignes serait trop bas en hiver le contact humidité se ferme pour atteindre le point de consignes une banalité mais qui me ferait enlever un hygrostat sur le mur...

Need a manual!
My thermostat did not come with a manual. Rather frustrating as I don’t believe I will be able to get all the features that are available. Eg how do I set up a second program for heating when I am not home for a period of time. I want to Lower the temperature to 60 degrees. I don’t want to have to reprogram thermostat when I get home.

Unnecessarily complicated
You know what’s really stupid... that a thermostat requires you to register with your address... and that the previous owners need to un-register before you can use this app. Yes, I can contact the company to have them unregister it... but the whole thing seems sketchy to me. Why on earth would you setup a thermostat that is attached to a registration. There should be an option on the thermostat menu to unregister it from any existing devices.

Everything has worked fine since the initial install. Now it stays offline and won't connect. Tried to factory reset. Simply fails... Due to recent update??? Please fix.

Love this thermostat. It’s very easy to use. The app keeps improving. Good job from the development team! One suggestion to make the app perfect is to allow the recirculation fan to be programmed in the schedule settings as well! Hope to see this feature added very soon.

Nice Smart Thermostat for the Money
I recently purchased this thermostat to upgrade an existing programmable thermostat that was 15 years old. This new smart thermostat is very nice. It was a relatively easy install but, I needed an additional adapter for my furnace as it is an older model with no C-Wire and you need a C-Wire to run this thermostat. After hooking up the new C-wire adapter to my furnace the rest of the install was a breeze. I now have a smart thermostat that I can control through my phone or using my Amazon device. It works perfect. The screen is responsive and provides the perfect amount of information to monitor your indoor temperature and humidity. I also like that the Sensi app provides daily and monthly usage statistics. A great product for a reasonable price. Bought mine at Home Depot and received an instant energy rebate of $55.....that made this purchase even better. Definitely recommend this smart thermostat to anyone looking to upgrade or install new.

I turn it on through the app and then when I go to try and turn it off it says offline. 3rd time it has happened.

App is pointless
9 times out of 10 it’s faster to go to the actual thermostat to change the temperature, since the apps always says “thermostat offline”. When you want to change the temperature on the app, you either see “thermostat offline” and therefore can not use the app at all as everything is blacked out. Or it takes several tries before anything is changed cause the app never connects to the thermostat on the first try. So what’s the point? It’s faster to go to the actual thermostat if I want to make any changes.

I love the monthly reports I get . But the best is if at two o’clock in the morning I’m hot I can tun the A/C on and if I get up in the winter I can turn the heat on . Without going downstairs.

Fan software update please
Still waiting to have the fan programmation available !!!
