I live in a northern Alberta climate. It’s hot and miss if the remote start works. And it will only run once for 10 minutes. Now the app won’t even show the remote start option and I just renewed my membership.

Terrible app, never works customer service is also terrible
I initially had a few trial… which took over 3 months for them to work out the “bugs” for me to connect. Customer service both on the phone and online is terrible. On the phone they tell you “the note has been sent to IT but they haven’t replied” this happened for weeks, until I finally complained enough I got a hold of a manager via email and he fixed it in seconds. Since then it has been buggy but convenient when it works as I live in Saskatchewan and work far from my parking spot. We paid for the yearly subscription but since then it has not worked for 3-8 days in a row multiple times. No replies from customer service either. It’s handy when it does work but very frustrating and doesn’t work more often than not.

Remote start
My remote start never works when I request it. I have deleted the app, and reinstalled it, shut down my phone and it still doesn’t work. Doesn’t make me want to purchase it when my year subscription is up.

We have 4 different car brand in our household and all of their app is much stable and better than Honda Link, this app is unreliable, down half of the time and just not a hood overall exprience.

Loose car info repeatedly
Ratings are tempered with! It is useless and looks real outdated compare to competitors. It loose my car info often and each time I update. It dont offer any features. It's hard to believe how bad it is. I never got to see a free trial button for the remote start either when I first bought the vehicule.

Love waking up in -20C just to start my car and it’s loading for 10 minutes or not working due to “server maintenance” (24/7) I’ve had this app for years and it only gets worse every update, they do not care

This current app leaves more to be desired. Honda is known for its quality and reliability. That’s why I bought a 4th Honda vehicle. Please do not let that slip!
Connection issues and intermittent outages persist.
I can’t seem to add more time to the remote start.
Please work to add more features to the app like Hyundai & Toyota! Even Ford is doing a good job with their remote start app.
UI could use an update (But I prefer a simpler looking UI that works, rather than a flashier one that doesn’t)
I hope the developers are listening and act on it.

Why only some cars and not all. Would be nice to have features on ridge line. Paid enough for truck and would like to see something besides mileage. Update will not show mileage and keeps wanting me to pair. 2019 is the Stone Age to Honda Canada.

Error after registering
After registration, I don't get any confirmation as was the instruction and also does not allow me to login always insisting I enter wrong information or have been blocked. I tried password reset yet doesn't allow me to.

Not user friendly start up
I made multiple attempts to create account but then not letting me sign in it says failed despite correct password I repeated the sign up process with 2 different emails still getting the same result says failed blocked despite everything created or entered correctly. Also when we create password it does not show to check if we putting in the correct letters n number it’s blind you never know what’s being tried though user friendly sites always show passed type in so pls tell me what shall I do I called my dealership sales man but no answer. Very disappointed I don’t know what’s inside but so difficult to sign-in

No updated info
Edit: reviewed November 20. No improvement as of January 3, 2026. I deleted the app off my phone and tried again. Everything on my phone looks right except that it’s not connecting with with the car to retrieve the information, but in my car it’s now saying these features are not currently available in your region. I don’t understand it. If it’s not working in my area, notify me. Otherwise tell me how to fix it.
Nov 20: I do all required app updates. There are no pending updates. And yet the app has not updated my vehicle info since October 24. I’ve had service and should be showing 100% oil life and it’s still showing 30%. No mileage updates no fuel range updates. I don’t know how to get this to update.

Waste of time and money
If you can get it to work and the command not fail, there’s no option to turn on rear defrost, seat warmers, mirror defrost nothing. You can only turn on front defrost, that’s it. Will be canceling my subscription

If you read the T&C’s the app is unacceptable. While it supported my ‘25 CRV it stopped supporting my ‘16 Accord - therefore no longer useful or acceptable.

The app is not good. Sometimes it just will not work, other times the display is zoomed in and you can’t change certain settings in the remote start. Spend 40k per car and Honda can’t make an app that consistently works, and they still expect you to pay to remote start your car? 0/10 would rather gargle wet sand thanks.

À chaque fois que j’essaie de démarrer mon véhicule à distance avec l’application, on m’indique un échec en précisant que j’ai dépassé le nombre de démarrages, alors que je ne l’ai même pas utilisé depuis 24 heures. De plus, lorsque je démarre avec la clé, l’application n’affiche pas que le véhicule est en marche : elle indique toujours qu’il est éteint. Et aussi c’est tellement lent le processus de démarrage avec l’application.

The Honda app is hands down slowest clunkiest apps out. It is so slow to update the info and takes forever for the command to go to the vehicle. If this is a feature you are excited about with your new car look at a different brand ..

It would be nice to have the ability to update the app from the app home screen. Also weather it’s minus 30c or plus 30c 9 minutes with only one extension is not sufficient and the feedback is painfully slow.
And as of today I can’t update the app or get the update message off the screen so the app not usable

No one cares at Honda
My subscription renewed in January and due to a bug it did not work for over a month. It took many calls and emails to have fixed by Feb 20th. During the process emails were NEVER replied to, all reps I spoke to said call back in 3-5 days which I did for 4 weeks and I have been awaiting a refund, a call from a sr manager to explain this level of service but still Feb 26th have not been replied to other than a quick message from a tech guy Feb 20 to say he thinks it’s fixed. I paid for 35 days of a service e I did not have, have been ignored entirely and still await a reply. This is the last Honda I will have, I’ll letting the dealership know tomorrow it’s because of this service that I will not be back for another Honda. I am quite stunned by what I have experienced, I use this example with my staff and people I talk to about service as the poorest experience I have had and and clear example of how to lose a customer. I expect this will also go unaddressed or responded to and have wasted more time on this.

Whoever is in charge of this app needs to lose their job. What a poor performance of an app and poor excuse for customer service. This app may work but mostly won’t , you can change your password and it won’t work even after. Don’t give this app any of your information. I’d give it -5 stars if they allowed it.

Where’s iOS shortcuts support? Where’s iOS live notification support? Where’s Dynamic Island support? It’s 2024 and this app feels like it was made a decade ago.

Doesn’t really work
15 Jan 2024 this app hardly works. Honda needs to DO BETTER. Start by trying and communicating with customers. Unacceptable for a paid app that costs over $100 a year. Don’t pay for this and forget that it exists (as the dealerships do).

The support and feedback from Honda for this application is completely nonexistent
I bought a $50,000 Honda CRV touring hybrid in May. I called the HondaLink application support because I could not get the app to work after multiple attempts to connect to my car. Instead of connecting me with a technical support person they noted my details and said somebody would get back to me but the support people are very busy, we are now in July 2023 almost 6 weeks later and no one has contacted me. I also asked that a supervisor from Honda Canada contact me because I was extremely disappointed that I can’t use this application. Nobody has contacted me the car is wonderful but the customer support and technical support from Honda Canada is extremely disappointing

I get notified of incoming message on my Lock Screen, but there are never any messages in the app so I am missing all messages.

So slow.
It's difficult to understand why this app is so slow. It takes forever to connect to car and get feedback no matter what kind of connectivity. Honda, please improve on yeh issues of connectivity, and sluggish responses. Also, why have a fixed 10 minute shutdown, extendable once only. Canadian winters need double that time at least. This should be an adjustable feature in your app.

Je possède un Honda CR-V 2018 Touring. Tout ce que je réussi à obtenir avec cette app... c’est le niveau d’essence d’y il a un mois! Bravo! Oh! On dit qu’il peut aussi servir de minuterie pour le stationnement! Vraiment horrible!!!
