I’m thrilled at how much information and little things we can find in this app. This is truly a pregnancy encyclopedia! From weekly updates, to realistic sketches of how the baby looks like, to medication look up, food safety look up.... journal, baby name ideas... wow! Brilliant! I would pay for this app, if I had to. Congrats to everyone involved!

Used this all throughout my pregnancy and after my baby was born. Lots of good info - occasionally found spelling mistakes but I read every article for almost a year now. Wish it had a feature like the babycenter photo weekly progression of my pregnancy. But overall best pregnancy app! (I downloaded about 20 at least). Only feature missing is a "nighttime" colouring so I can read the articles comfortably instead of the bright white background.
Update after third baby: Lately I have found that there are way too many articles about mental health and postpartum depression. There should be articles about it but asking me everyday about my mental health is annoying!

This is great app, but wish there was a “Dad” version for the husband/supporting partner. Great for it to be directed to them explaining what their baby and mother-of-child are going through. What are ways that they can prepare, what meals can they cook for their mom, what are the weekly milestones, what they should expect. Don’t like I have to keep sending him pictures of what the size of the baby is this week.. wouldn’t it be great if he/she got to log in and see for their self! Post articles on the types of strollers he/she could be researching into, what the future appointments are about, what are the signs of depression and how they can help.. etc.

From what I can see there is no way to scroll forward to see what the baby size will be in future weeks. I’ve had other apps where you could. Feeds curiosity and excitement. The baby name component is seriously lacking. I went through all the boy names in like a day. Once
I’ve “passed” in a name there is no way to see those names again. Whenever I click on boy names, it just says there are no more at this time. It’d be nice to be able to see the names again. Maybe I passed on a name accidentally or have a change in mind.
In my opinion there are better apps for tracking pregnancy

The Ovia apps have made my fertility and pregnancy journey so special and I really trust the articles as a good source of information! The community support feature is great too. I like how it’s set up as a coloured animal anonymously, and I love the Parisian bakery as a fun alternative to fruit to compare the size of your baby! Well done great app. Fun to use, practical and informative. I really love Gina’s videos too, I always look forward to the next one every three weeks!

Apparently, if you simply disagree with someone in the community feature...you’ll get the boot from them.
I used this app on both my previous pregnancy and in my current one, and both times had comments reported and I was kicked out...seriously for respectfully disagreeing with someone’s opinion/comment. It’s so silly. There are people on here who are genuinely rude and hurtful, and they go completely unchecked. Try weeding those people out first before removing people that are just trying to be helpful to the FTMs.
Do not recommend this app to ANYONE.

Absolutely love the Ovia apps! I used the ovulation app to track my periods prior to getting pregnant and it was spot on! Now tracking my pregnancy this app is super helpful! Can track everything from mood to blood pressure and it compares the size of the baby to the size of a full term baby which is neat!

This app treats pregnant women like they’re idiots. One article about fast food suggests a hamburger with only half the bun as a way to make fast food healthier. How are you supposed to eat a burger with only half the bun - with a knife and fork?! This is unhealthy, diet-culture garbage and frankly disappointing to see coming from an app that seems to be run by women.

I love Ovia. It gives me all of the insight of my pregnancy development and what to expect. Great tips and info. Easy to use and to keep track of every day changes. However, it lacks the syncing with Fitbit which doesn’t allow me to use it to track my water, food and exercise daily. It will get 5 stars from me if that feature will be added. As well as the option to add several pics in just one note.

I want to try this app so badly after friends reviews, however I’ve tried creating an account through Facebook and by creating an email and password log in and it just won’t move past that step. I get the email that I’ve created an account t but when I try to sign it it tells me invalid. I’ve re-downloaded the app and restarted my phone etc etc and still not working! So disappointing!

I loved this app for my first pregnancy a couple years ago!! This time, I’m bombarded with kaiser permanente ads... which don’t even apply to me because I’m in Canada. It’s one thing to have an overwhelming amount of ads, but the articles are written to bombard us with kaiser permanente as well. Do you really have to link an article about what to pack in a hospital bag to how great kaiser permanente is?! If you are going to shove marketing down our throats, maybe get some targeted marketing so that Canadian app users get marketing from hospitals and products that we have access to, and keep your kaiser permanente for your US app users. I’ll be finding another pregnancy app.

Really like this app. Provides info about pregnancy progression, size of the baby and helps you to track your pregnancy in general. A cute feature that you can change baby size comparison to animals instead of vegetables (which are used everywhere and are pretty confusing). It has pick and construction trackers so you don’t need to pay for editions apps.

I downloaded a ton of apps for my pregnancy and this is truly my favourite. All the information and articles are scientifically right unlike some other apps. This used to be a good app but it barley loads anymore and I’ve needed to download another app to replace this one. The community on this app is great for anonymity however don’t expect a pleasant response and be prepared to be feel stupid because users are not encouraged to reply in a friendly manner.

Overall great app! It’s a positive community of mothers that help navigate the crazy adventures of pregnancy. Useful articles are posted daily to be informative. My only complaint are some of the app’s built in questions that have pre-written answers that are restrictive and it would be useful to have the option to write your own answer to provide a more accurate response.
Easy to spend hours on this app going through the questions others have and it helps you feel comfortable in pregnancy. Very pleased with this!
