But that’s not actually true. Deciding what to cook. That’s the tough bit.
This app is on a heroic mission to end the endless loop of standing in front of our fridge at 6pm, not knowing what to make, convinced we have nothing to eat in the house, hangry, nobody else with the initiative, dog staring up at us, cat looking down at us, and about 10 seconds from ordering delivery. Every. Single. Day.
NEVER AGAIN. But how? How is Do-Re-Ci-Pe going to literally change the game? What is the missing ingredient (excuse the pun) to making cooking fast, stress free, and dare we say it, pleasurable?
Let us do these things and the others, not because they are hard but because they are now easy:
NUMBER ONE
Take a picture of your fridge/pantry or that cupboard. Like a magic whisk gifted from a frosty fairy, this app creates, yes CREATES, 3 recipes for you using your ingredients. This isn't a glorified search engine, literally AI does the work of a personal chef, ALWAYS finding something tasty YOU could make using your dietary restrictions BY DEFAULT! Whaaaat?
As it turns out, AI has been missing a killer app. Well neighbor, AI isn’t good at making recipes, it’s great at it. Where we take it that bit further, is we automatically add the timers, steps, ingredients with multipliers, science, technique, reheating instructions, and a FULL nutritional facts. Right?
Let that sink in.
It uses YOUR dietary preferences and ingredients available in your house (or at a random airbnb) and expertly puts together dishes you will love, saving them forever to your device, that doesn’t go to sleep while you cook, where no popups, ads, lengthhy narratives and other malarky take over the screen taking you out of your mojo.
We could rename this app, the least annoying recipe app, and it would probably get 1,000,000 downloads.
NUMBER TWO
Maybe you’re a little more organized. How about that 4ft long grocery receipt? YEP. Scan it. Scan it until the cows come home. Our app will take all the relevant food ingredients, then make recipes with the items you actually bought. Say what now? I mean, we've not seen that one before but it sure beats my poor lit photos from my pantry.
NUMBER THREE
Okay okay, let's say you love cookbooks, but the last time you opened one was Thanksgiving, 2024. Oh my goodness, we LOVE cookbooks but if had the tools to quickly access them and ya know, be useful. Scan the ingredients, instructions, and shoot the photo and we’ll save the recipe, all stepped out with ingredient multipliers, timers, nutritional facts, the whole enchilada. Again, never goes to sleep while cooking. Gives you step by step. Allows you to check off the recipes as you go. I mean… how is that not great? THIS WORKS WITH LITERALLY EVERY COOKBOOK ON EARTH including probably Sanskrit. We honestly, wouldn't put it past our AI.
NUMBER FOUR
What about a Mom's recipe card for nuts and bolts? Yes. Just yes. All of it.
NUMBER FIVE
Add custom recipes of your own making. Include step by step instructions, add photos for each step, timers, ingredients. Maybe obvious but important.
BONUS!!
This app also does meal plans, shopping lists, food budgeting, and pantry inventory. That’s basically everything that the top selling recipe app does and it’s a flapjack flipping footnote.
Do-Re-Ci-Pe is more than cooking, it’s the return to GOOD VIBES in the kitchen… and maybe, some more good vibes in your pancake flippin’ life.
