Pay to play

Breezed through the first 14 normal stages and 9 elite stages without spending money and watched a few ads because I enjoyed the game… that enjoy,ent quickly faded after I hit a wall at normal stage 15 and elite stage 10, I’ve tried many different turret combos and am level 27!!! I’ve swapped numerous enhancements as well and nothing I can do is enough. The anniversary event is a scam as well, I spent well over 3k purple gems (ALL EARNED FOR FREE) on the main event and didn’t get anything but blues and greens… DO NOT INSTALL!

Pay to win

The game has a good potential to be fun but it locks you behind this pay wall which makes your process very slow and not fun. And for you to remove the wall you need to pay $70 which is crazy high. It feels like a scam at this point.
Recommendation for the devs: for now focus on fixing the issues with that pay wall that you have and make the game enjoyable for everyone regardless of them paying or not. Or put the game out there so they have to purchase it before downloading it so they know they have to pay to play. Why would you make it free and unplayable.

Ad in 30 seconds, uninstall

Within 30 seconds of playing got an ad and it took minutes before it ended. No way to get out except to push another game which probably is even worst. Easy uninstall. What a terrible experience and a waste of my time. Let us play the game versus using us as an ad generator.

Great but, pricey.

This game is actually really great but there are layers of game passes for each individual event ranging from 15$ to 129$. Even purchasing the option to permanently remove ads is close to 80$.
Otherwise a great and well made game with many options for customizing your build.

Bad balance. 0 rewards.

They have a 7-day boot camp. Which for the new beginners. But it’s a really 7-days. Like if you don’t pay. U won’t get all the benefits. And the game balance is really bad. Hard to win. It’s a Pay to win game. I would say 2 stars for the graphics. Nice background and graphics.

Fun but frustrating

Game is well made and is allot of fun, however it will eventually come to a point where your luck and RNG are what really determine a win or a loss… not to mention how annoying it is that your game doesn’t pause and save/resume upon reopening the app… so unless you have 10-20 minutes to invest in a round you better not start because it will all just reset.

Frustrating Mobile Game Mechanics

The game would be a good one if not for how the dev spoils it. The levels encourage or require certain builds, which is great. But the game gives you turrets and upgrades purely randomly without the player having any agency. The wrong cards lead to a spoil run. This is frustrating and will feel like a waste of time.
This fundamental flaw is to say nothing of the mobile game shenanigans the devs also do, such as stamina system, a tortuous level grind, identify-less loot boxes etc

Excellent game, incredibly ad heavy

Good potential but…

Difference between paid users and non paid users is enormous
Ads can hit 3 minutes long. Most games are 30 seconds…
Ads everywhere for everything. Refreshing skills, auto-farm, daily gifts etc. To capitalize on all daily « gifts » on a given day, you’re in for at least 8 ads + 1 ad for each 5min of play.

Finding the paywall

Paywall is level 5. Game is horribly imbalanced in that respect. Could get through each level in one or two tries, now on 7th attempt on level 5. Will not give you a dime. It’s too bad because this game is good.

Great game spoiled by greed

I have spent too much on this and am still punished by not spending way more. I can’t progress at all without more gold, and yet they seem to think I should spend what a full console game costs every MONTH, and again $25 every 2 weeks still not to be able to keep up.
I’m sorry, I am done without some sort of change. I’m hundreds of thousands of gold behind just to upgrade stuff and I play all the time.
The more parts you unlock, the bigger the gold deficit grows, by design. This is dirty tactics.

The best of this kind !

I have played Doodle Magic and Bangbang survivor for months and many other copy cat games. This Galaxy Defense is the best so far!
Why?
1. You can control your main Gun. You can let him shoot or you move him around. Very engaging if you want it to.
2. Better AI. Bangbang survivor has horrible Ai for some skills. This game knows that Beam skill may shoot an odd angle so it has many variations to bend the beam back ! So creative.
3. Skill progression is very impressive! You can really go deep into one turret at level 4 if you want to specialize.
4. It has very similar contents like Bangbang survivor. It has Co op mode as well. Is it the same company ?
I love the graphics and the animations of how enemies zoom out and speed up.
Keep up the good work dev.

Almost a Five Star

Would love to see an update with two things:
1. A way to see the current turret statistics based on active cards selected. Would make selecting new cards more strategic.
2. An option to dim (or even turn off) the onscreen enemy damage counter. When attacking large groups of enemies, the numbers take over the screen and hide the action. I would rather see the battle effects instead of the damage counters, especially since I don’t know how much health the enemies even have to begin with.
Otherwise, a solid four stars! Great game.

Overtuned game with lackluster abilities and pure RNG mess

You can tell this game was never actually tested. First off, why is everything RNG? Secondly, Why are levels 1-5 a breeze, but as soon as you get to level 6 it becomes 300% harder? And then level 10 is 5000% harder than level 5. Enemies are so overtuned it’s ridiculous. The Excavators must have 2500HP and your little gun does 50 damage per bullet. You get overwhelmed so easily. Distortion Field tower needs its damage buffed by like 300% to even be useful. If you’re going to release a game, at least make it fun.

Becomes obviously pay to win

Game becomes impossible to beat at lvl 10. For some reason a boss shows up mid level and it’s legit insane to try take down while it’s shooting more enemies at you.
