Stop Changing Things That Work
Where did classic and advercase fonts go when editing closed captions?? And why can I no longer “split” a caption??? These were features I used everyday — will be finding a different editing platform since edits can’t stay consistent with the features they offer. Annoyed.

Good for editing, but very glitchy with the save progress
The editing software is great. It is simple to use. However, the develop needs to fix the glitch that’s in the app. When I exit the app and come back to edit my video later, it somehow doesn’t always save my work progress. This is so frustrating because now I need to re-edit my video that spent time to work on. This would be an awesome if the develop fixes this major problem.

Creating movies with music is amazing. But not being able to download a video you put licensed music on defeats the whole purpose of this app. I’ll just go put music on the video with another app. Bye instagram editor.

This app is absolutely unstable. More are more bugs are showing up every time I try to use it. I don’t even know where to start anymore it’s that bad. There are way too many bugs to point all of them out and still no fix. Its just getting worst.

App is useful but glitchy
If you’re looking for an easy to use app for making really basic instagram reels or edits, it works fine. Know that if you do anything more than that, it will start to glitch, and the final product will have messed up timing (which is key to good transitions and cuts on an edit and making it something special).

Mauvais si tu veux faire des bons montages, parfait pour des montages que tu fais en 2 minutes. J’ai passé 30 minutes sur un montage et il s’est fait corrompre (je ne peux plus l’ouvrir) et ça m’a fait chier. C’est absolument horrible quand tu veux placer des superpositions sur ta vidéo. Fais juste rester sur Capcut gng 😭✌🏼🥀

Broken (Still…)
I really enjoy the features of this app, but lately, it gets stuck indefinitely while loading media. Now, it gets stuck “loading” projects, and it is not properly saving. My workflow hasn't changed. I’m using the same short clips (2–5 seconds, max ~20 seconds) and still images that worked perfectly before.
It is incredibly frustrating to carefully curate and arrange clips only for the app to freeze, forcing me to start over. I’ve tried restarting both the app and my phone multiple times with no success. My partner experienced the same issue, so this is not an isolated incident.
Please fix this stability issue!

love but need bug fixes
app constantly freezes. the video will be “playing” but it’s stuck on first frame. i shut down app over and over it doesn’t work. it’ll change my captions and re add deleted videos back into the video. i love the app but it needs major bug fixes.

I really like it, but it could use some improvements
Text being locked to the video clip rather than the option to lock it to the timeline or music is incredibly frustrating. If you delete or move a clip all of the text gets deleted.

Glitchy app
Just like editing in Instagram you will run into different glitches. Not being able to switch to the other options (I couldn’t switch back to use the split option to end my video). It also kept cutting off the last word on my text. Annoying app.

Video and Audio cuts ruin the reel

Nice on the surface, pretty whack actually
Sure this app is fine if you make two cuts or throw on a filter (which you could do any way before getting a whole separate app) but if you’re trying to do anything above base line god forbid sophisticated, it will eat your project like an old tape deck. Seriously I just spent two hours editing a 45 second video to have it export incorrectly and corrupt my whole project. Clips overlapping, captions I painstakingly had to edit and move myself disappearing, audio missing/shifting out of line with video, effects pressing on wrong clips, all of this despite it playing perfectly in the project timeline. Totally whack. Free 4K exports aren’t enough to keep me using this I’m going back to viva video. Awful experience.

Good app but a lot of errors and bugs
I do really like edits for the most part. However, there’s some strange and odd bugs.
F captions, as an example, the captions feature frequently either makes errors and mistakes, or mistimes the caption. I find myself downloading the video from Edits, and then re-uploading to Instagram and using the captions feature in the Instagram app itself because for some reason that works a lot better than the Edits app.
Sometimes the app exports to Facebook and sometimes it doesn’t. Sometimes it will tell me why, and sometimes it won’t.
I honestly feel like moving to CapCut, but I’m holding out hope that they fix the bugs and errors within the next couple of weeks so I don’t have to do that

Great App, more features would benefit
I think edits is a great app because it is connected to Instagram and the audios. I couldn’t find an area to put in feature requests but being able to put the teleprompter horizontally and also more captions styles would be great!

Good app but needs work
The text is difficult and won’t let your go back to edit a mistake. You have to delete everything up to the mistake to fix it then retype it. Other then that a good app once that bug gets fixed

Can be an alternative to capcut?
When i heard about such app i was so happy, finally something useful from instagram, but the features it offers are not that eye catching, only some basics. If instagram plan to get more users with more creative and consistent activity, it should add more features as much as possible to a level that can be compared with editing app like CapCut which dominates mobile content editing.
