Like its predecessor, Human Japanese Intermediate is built on the idea that the best way to learn and truly comprehend Japanese is to have it explained by someone who speaks your language. KANJI
Human Japanese Intermediate also gets into kanji in a big way. At the end of most chapters, a new batch of kanji is introduced, with animations of each character, plus example sentences, illustrations, writing tips, and more. Our goal is not to simply throw a bag of characters in your lap, but to carefully explain how everything works.
To this end, Human Japanese Intermediate keeps track of which kanji you've learned at what point in the text and automatically adjusts the "spelling" of words in example sentences as appropriate to your current knowledge. So early on, you might encounter the following sentence:
そのひとの なまえを しらない。
But later, after you've met several of kanji used in these words, the version you would see is:
その人の 名前を 知らない。
This approach removes the most overwhelming aspect of learning kanji--the fact that most sentences contain many characters you don't yet know--and that helps you to stay focused and energized.
QUIZZES
Stay sharp with five different kinds of quizzes: chapter reviews, vocab, conjugation, kanji stroke order, and kanji flashcard.
Quizzes keep track of which questions you get right and wrong, to help you concentrate on your trouble spots.
And when you get a question wrong, it's not simply "Try again." Wherever possible, the quiz provides a hint that is specific to that question, to help you remember and learn.

A wonderful continuation of Human Japanese
I have only recently begun this app but I can already tell it is an amazing continuation from the previous one. HJ Beginner smoothed my learning process of Japanese so well and I am excited to continue using HJ Intermediate. Overall both of these apps are extremely well written and the end of chapter tests are super useful as well. Along with notes and a good progression system, I love this application and am excited to use it to increase my ability to speak, read and write Japanese.(note this progression system feels great and it is not PTW like EA’s games). Finally I’d like to say, other languages should be jealous of such an amazing app as I have had fun learning Japanese and I learn better using this app than I did taking Japanese for a year in university. Buy this app, it’s worth far more than its cost.

Just as good as the original
A great continuation of Human Japanese. If you liked the first one you'll love this one. As with the original Human Japanese this app is about how to speak Japanese from a proper sentence structure point of view. Vocabulary is obviously part of it but like the first app it's more about how to properly use the Japanese vocabulary you learn. The introduction to Kanji is great as well.

Engaging, logical, and effective
Awesome app. I recommend using Anki in conjunction with this for memorization of the vocab .

Really good!
Human Japanese Intermediate teaches informal verbs, new vocabulary, new grammar and updated versions of grammar learnt in Human Japanese Volume 1. It also has cultural notes.
I really enjoyed it and have recommended HJ to my friends. It has definitely made a huge impact on my language learning experience!

I find that this app is better than Rosetta Stone, and 100x cheaper hahaha Love the first one for beginners and so so sooo happy they brought out an intermediate!
