Description

Colonist is an exciting multiplayer game. You take on the role of a Colonist by building settlements and expanding your territory while competing with opponents trying to do the same. Colonist combines extremely simple rules with tremendously deep gameplay. Use strategy, planning, and cunning negotiation to win.

You can train against bots, play with friends online, and even compete in our ranked modes for a spot on the leaderboards! We also offer a variety of fun custom maps to play on in addition to traditional expansions which add elements like ships and barbarians to the game. You can even play with more than 4 friends with our 5-6 and 7-8 player expansions.

In the store, you will find a wide array of custom colors and avatars that allow you to personalize your profile and show off. Pick a unique color and avatar combination to instill fear in your opponents!

It’s bugged

I was stuck on the loading screen for ever I can’t play and I want to play this game cuz from why I heard it’s a good app but it just didn’t work for me I don’t know if I had something wrong but I was just stuck on the same screen

Great game but lowkey complaint

Such a great game, works great! But I have small complaint almost every time I play, there are SO MANY sevens rolled. The role count on this number is always higher than any other number.

Ruining a great game

App works great after being buggy for a while. However, 1v1 is almost unplayable due to the algo they have. Basically the algo decides who wins the game by favouring one player with 7 rolls. 90% of the games I play I get screwed by the robber. The other player will roll clutch 7s all game, and I’ll only roll when I have too many cards and discard. Clockwork. They need to fix the robber on 1v1 because it it unplayable

Latest update needs work

On iPad Pro 13” (m4), the player panels have shrunk to a combined ~3% of the total view space.. they are TINY and barely legible. They were fine before.

The trade buttons should be reordered to separate the accept and decline buttons with the change button — accept - change - decline. They are small and easy to hit the wrong button, potentially accepting a trade meant to be declined.

The ratings system seems to be terrible.. make games effectively a round-robin with an established chess rating calculation?

Worst Roll Distribution

I don’t know how people are rating this game 5 stars when it’s the most biased game you’ll come across. The dice rolls are so messed up in this game and they need to work and getting that sorted out so there’s actually 50-50 chances to win rather than your opponent just getting all the rolls even though you’re also on a 6, but noo all the 8’s for your opponent wanna stay rolling.

Bad game

At first, this game seems like a fun alternative to Catan that might even be better than the Catan mobile game. The four player game is by far superior to 1v1 because the dice roles are more fair. I don’t know what the algorithm is for 1v1, but be prepared to be infuriated because the dice rolls are extremely biased, making the version not fun to play. The four player game takes too long because there’s always one or two players that don’t skip their turn, so unless you want to play a mobile game for 30+ minutes, it’s not worth playing at all.

Indie Catan Version

Honestly, it’s a fantastic application. It doesn’t bug every 2 seconds, unlike the Catan app. You can play ranked (which is lowkey funny) and it’s constantly getting updated.

Uneven 1v1

Read reviews on Reddit and play 1v1 mode and you will see there patterns that exist in this mode that don’t reflect real life dice. Example: in 9/10 games a 7 will roll in the very next turn after the first settlement is built.

Detrimental bug that causes the entire map to go blue

Theres a bug that happens at least every 1 or 2 games and sometimes multiple times where the map just goes blue. After this I’m forced to reload the game, and sometimes it doesn’t allow me to reconnect back into the game. Extremely frustrating.

Really imbalance of dice. Not realistic. 7s roll way too often and ruins flow of the game .

Not A Fan

Don't waste your time. The dice are completely inaccurate. I tracked 2 segments of 100 games each. My opponent rolled 7 for theft more than I did in both test lots. 81 times in the first 100 games and 93 times in the second batch of 100 games. The game dice always favour 1 player over the other. Only frustration awaits if you choose to play.

Cloudfare Verifying Error

I played ranked once and now every time I open the game it tells me it’s verifying I’m a human and then gives an error. Can’t get passed the check and when I refresh it opens up the browser to a blank screen. I can’t even play it at all now

Good but quite bugged sometimes

The player base is relatively small too, probably because the app is a bit janky. Just recently the game broke again and won’t reconnect to a match if I go to another app for a second. I have to close out entirely and reconnect from the main menu (after the bot moves for me…)

Fun though.
