When an app takes a huge backward step like this, the developers should be humble enough to roll back everything and start from scratch.

Handicap update?
Since the app update I have to reboot my phone in order to see my updated handicap after I enter a score.
I don’t use the other features, I simply need it to track/calculate my handicap and it can’t seem to do that easily.

Brick Wall
I became a Golf Canada member and was excited about the App. It won’t let me log in with my existing member name and password that I use for the web site. That’s annoying but I move on. I cannot create a new profile. “Try again later “😡. I tried in August and September.

So good!
The GPS is soooo slick. Probably just saved me $500 as I won’t need to buy a laser now. Scorecard and advanced stats are sweet. Desktop functionality is even deeper.

Easy to use
I found the new app easy to use and it was great keeping my score and automatically updating my handicap. I added my wife’s name, who is not a member, on the score card easily.

Update removed the most important function
I used to love being able to see my hole breakdown on scoring stats. Seeing how many Eagles/Birdies/Pars/Bogies etc on each hole of my course was invaluable and, without it, I only use the app to post a total score now. The update may have been the worst change of any app I’ve ever seen. Great Job.

Poor update
Updated the app. Doesn’t even keep my total rounds tally for the year current. It’s just at zero. I use the app to also track number of rounds. Why did this feature not keep current rounds for the year

Worst app I’ve been using. Because I have to use it !
One the the worst app I’ve been using. Too bad it’s the only one available for Handicap. Can’t even see the whole year games history. Not user friendly at all!!! Please next time asks golfers for input.

Not sure what the complaints are about, everything they’ve mentioned works well when I use it???
Looking forward to the release of the GPS version so I can do everything during my rounds from 1 app.

Some things better but miss the Round history
Wish this app would show more than just your last twenty rounds in Score history. Used to be able to go back to your very first score entered into Golf Canada.

New version fails
It seems this update is trying to make this a social media app rather than a handicap app. It seems “follow your friends “ was so important that the real functionality was jettisoned.
Really need to rethink this update.

Can’t Log In
Have had an account for several years. The app doesn’t accept my username or password to log in. Have to use safari on the web each time. It can’t be that hard to fix but it’s frustrating.

Very confusing
Entering my score is a nightmare, features there before like looking up your handicap from different tees on your home course is much more difficult to find. The refresh looks like a platform to advertise the sponsor, not make things easier!

Horrible
Took me 20min to sort out course hdcps for my game tomorrow. Golf Canada should be appalled releasing this upgrade. The integrity of the entire HDCP system is upheld by peer review and vetting scores- not user friendly.

Handicap tracking
On the previous app it showed my handicap over time. I can’t find that option in the new app.

Really Bad
I’ve tried to be patient as the new version evolves, but each new release just gets worse.
This honestly is one of the worst designed apps I’ve ever had the misfortune of using.
Just try to find the course handicap of your playing partners. You’ll give up in disgust after an hour or so.
Golf Canada: I know your intentions are good, but please fire whoever is responsible for this and start over.

Ever since the new update.. I cannot log into my account via the app. Frustrating!! Works when I use safari, but cannot login in through the app.

I can’t login to post a score. I thought I’d try reset my username hoping that would help but this function doesn’t even work. Not sure what happened but I agree with all the recent posts. Bring back the old app, give my $50 back, or fix this so we can use the app properly.

Bring back the old version
Why in the world would you bring out a half baked app.in the middle of golf season that is full of glitz and flash but useless as a functioning program compared to the last version.
From reading other reviews you definitely missed the boat on this launch hopefully heads have rolled and a new team have retained to sort this debacle out.

Please change back to old layout
While the new version looks nice and has simple hole-by-hole tracking, the new scoring history view is a big downgrade. Please change back to be similar to the Golf Canada website and only show the 20 most recent scores actually being used for handicap purposes. Also, I preferred it when it showed the YTD round count, not lifetime total.

Don’t remove features
While I can appreciate adding new functionality in Version 4.0, it came at the expense of removing some existing functionality such as the ability to view the favourite players list. I also find all the advertising far too intrusive.

Not user friendly
This app is difficult to navigate and you find yourself constantly going back and forth. The advanced statistics are useless as you can’t track how many sand shots you take.
Also all the saved friends profiles are missing so you have to manually look up each person.

Same as above, hard to navigate, no tournament scores, etc., also can’t add scores by slope and rating. Played a course with 5 sets of tee blocks and only 3 choices on the app, mine wasn’t there.

Umm, basically says i don't exist. Try to use their “forgot password” function and the security codes don't work. You’re welcome for the $50. The old one was fine. Now i have no app. Lol. Thanks.

HORRIBLE
Did anyone test this app before its release? Not an upgrade at all, default date is wrong, lost all of our saved golf groups and their handicaps, navigation is awful, can’t enter a tournament score, etc etc. Please either bring back the old app or perform a major rework of this version.

Doesn’t show last 20 rounds, doesn’t show rounds year to date. I’m not paying for this next year. Waste of time when there are so many free apps out there!

You removed the handy feature of being able to easily track other people’s handicaps in a list which you could use on the first tee to verify handicaps. you could.
And to top it off, I cannot enter first putt length anymore

Worst App Ever!
What a downgrade! This app is now almost totally useless now, all the useful features have been removed and replaced by ads...not good at all. I used to use this app to check my handicap and handicap of my favourite players but no longer can do so. The old app was just starting to get some features that made it worthwhile having on my phone and then it was replaced with the new app which is not feature rich at all.

This app seems like it was made by people who have never folded or used the old app! It is extremely difficult to navigate and takes a lot of clicks and navigation to find common items making it virtually unusable. Remind me what I am paying for now that I have a terrible app filled with ads?!?

TERRIBLE, hard to navigate, back date your score by one day, does not give you ALL you factors for all tee boxes without making each tee box your default tee box. Can not easily determine what the PCC was for that date. Worst attempt at an “ improvement update” I have ever seen. PLEASE give me back the previous version.
