Hilton Times Square cancelled my reservation without my permission.
The front desk manager, Carlo, has no skill to handle the issue, no capacity to understand the issue, no patient, hard to understand what he says. He is below average overall as a hotel manager.
I just don’t understand why he holds that position. Maybe he is good at something else but not for that position especially at Hilton Times Square.
I will avoid HltTS for now with that reason. And I will not recommend to anyone / any social media/ web site to stay at that hotel.

Great hotel brand supported by a great app with one big exception - the digital key has never worked since I got my iPhone XR. It used to be great on my iPhone 6 but has never worked on the XR despite front desk resends, iOS updates and app reinstalls. Solid 5/5 of this one issue was resolved.

I often stay at this hotel- staff is amazing- so friendly and willing to assist. The rooms are spacious, clean, modern and comfortable.
The restaurant is also great - nice selection and good quality food is available for dinner and breakfast.

You can book your hotel, pick your room, check in and open your door with your phone and it all works great. I think they have improved the opening of doors because it is faster than before and works very reliably. Works for the parking lot in and out gates and the fitness room too.
I can walk into the hotel for the first time and go right to the elevators and up to my room without stopping at the front desk.

Great hotel. New lobby and fish in lobby for the kids to feed. Rooms were new and clean and really enjoyed having two king beds instead of two queens. Breakfast and happy hour were well stocked and great variety. Close to lots of shopping and restaurants.

Usually stay at this location when in Toronto. The bed needed a new mattress desperately. We had a king size bed and when we got into bed we both rolled to the middle.
Bed sounded like it was going to break, mattress totally worn out
We arrived very late and did not bother to call front desk to change room
Breakfast section could offer more GF food. Bread or muffin
We already made a complaint and received notice that someone would contact us in 3 days. Its almost 2 weeks and no follow up

My stay was terrible. Arrived on a Saturday and was informed that the key system wasn’t working. A hotel staff member had to escort you to your room and let you in EVERY TIME. This happened for the duration of our 2 day stay! This was true for all doors. Needed to be let in for the pool, business center and any doors that required a key. The hotel was fully booked! We had to park around the back a few times and had to walk around, in the rain, to the front doors as we had no key to let us in. Oh ya, and the phones weren’t working either. Didn’t get my perks as a rewards member and no compensations for the inconveniences. Just a “ya, we’re sorry...our systems are down”.

Was led to believe I could use the digital key feature thereby skipping the need to wait in line at the front desk to check in. This is not the case as I was told that as a ‘blue’ member I still need to verify my ID and credit card at check in even though all that info is held in my profile.
All this cool tech but treated as a second class citizen until I reach ‘Silver’ status. Guess I’ll stay elsewhere next time.
