Good app, but…
Good app, but won’t allow to undock e-bikes a lot the times. Other times one or two ebikes are available, but the app doesn’t see them, hence not letting to undock. Not sure if it’s an app issue, but quite frustrating.

Description
BIXI is the official mobile application for Montreal’s bike sharing system.
It allows users to purchase short-term access and members to rent a bike without their key and renew their membership. A station map shows in real time the number of bikes and docking points available at each station and you can also plan your routes. Access your personal space to learn more about your trips, transactions and usage statistics.
And of course, get your exercise credit when you pedal with a Health app integration.

Super service pour découvrir Montréal
BIXI c’est vraiment un super service. En tant que nouvel arrivant à Montréal, BIXI a été pour moi un super moyen pour découvrir mon quartier et la ville . Avec le bus et le métro on ne vois pas grand chose si ce n’est les grands artères. Grâce à BIXI j’ai découvert les rues de Montréal dans tout leur charme.

The app is always bugging, it take like 10min just to actualise
Always have to wait a thousand years to be able to unlock a bike
I have an iphone11 and it’s the only app bugging, i deleted the app and re installed like 10 times, i always have to turn off my cellular internet and close the app, and turn on the cellular internet and open the app again and do this again and again untill it finally work, just to be able to unlock a bike.

Pour une compagnie qui se veut “professionnelle”, c’est tout simplement aberrant. Après avoir payé un abonnement mensuel de manière absolument conforme, il m’était impossible d’avoir accès à un de leur vélo, et ce, en raison d’un abonnement passé de vla 4 ans (aucun retard de paiement ou autre). Nonobstant la politique primitive de dépôt de 100$ pour une location simple chez bixi, ce type de nonchalance corporative témoigne d’une absence flagrante de compétitivité dans le marché de la location de vélo. Monopole déguisé?

How to log out?
I had created a second account with a different email to be able to buy the season pass. However, it has been impossible to log out the app to log in with the new account. It isn’t possible or I just haven’t figured it out?

Best way to get around!
App is easy to use and smooth, haven’t encountered any issues with it. It’s so easy to rent bikes on the go and I enjoy seeing the total time stats. Was even able to rent an extra bike for a friend easily thru the app.
As much as I like the app, it would be nice if its was not absolutely necessary to use it in order to rent a bixi at some stations. It become less accessible for people without a smartphone and a data plan.
Since starting to use bixi, I plan my travel to use it as much as possible, and it’s been great for my health and mental health.
Also loving seeing new bixi racks being added to my neighbourhood (St-Laurent) allowing me to get easily to the metro or even downtown on a bike! Hopefully Bixi will continue to expand the covered territory!

C’est vraiment agréable de rouler à vélo pour si peu sans se soucier de l’entretien et de l’entreposage du vélo. J’aimerais plus de station dans le Nord et l’ouest de la ville mais j’imagine que ça va venir :)

Bonjour. J’essaie de prendre vos vélos électriques le plus souvent possible,c’est important pour arriver à l’heure! Je suis très insatisfait de la disponibilité de ces vélos à pouvoir les trouver sur vos stations Sur 10 trajets , 50% approximativement de réussite à En plus le vélo d’aujourd’hui malgré trois lumières vertes ne fonctionnait pas!

Poor for tourists
Cannot rent 2 bikes with 1 account. Stupid if you’re a couple from out of town..
Rented 1 but couldn’t rent another.
Rented 1 e-bike and walked to another nearby station where a 2nd e-bike was. Tried repeatedly to set up a second account with a second card/email but couldn’t. Was charged for the first bike even though we didn’t actually go anywhere.

There is room to improvements
Great service and excellent option for urban mobility. However, the app could have some improvement, mainly in the gps/routing area. When using google maps, there is an option to go with bixi but the app doesn’t follow through the routing, thus making it impossible to know where is the closest bixi station to your destination.

Je l'ai loué un jour à un court trajet, j'ai mis le vélo dans une station de métro, l'application me dit qu'il est garé. Le lendemain, je reçois la surprise d'une charge de 100 $ mais ils reconnaissent seulement m'avoir remboursé 70 $. et Aujourd'hui Incroyable mais vrai, j'ai une autre charge de vélo pour 100 $, je ne reconnais pas l'autre charge de 100 $ et ils acceptent seulement de me rembourser 70 $. Certainement le pire service,
J’ai écrit aux informations, et le personnel ignore les frais qu’ils facturent à ma carte de credit.
J’exige un remboursement complet des deux frais qui ont été portés à ma carte de crédit.

Appli nulle pour louer des vélos nuls
L’appli ne permet pas de louer plus d’un vélo. Aussi, elle ne fait pas le lien avec la carte de crédit si bien qu’on peut acheter deux abonnements par erreur: une avec l’appli et l’autre avec la carte de crédit, qui est pourtant associée au compte. En plus, les vélos sont laids, lourds et mal entretenus. Les poignées sont collantes par temps chauds, c’est dégoûtant. La selle de plusieurs ne peut pas se mettre assez haut pour quelqu’un avec de grandes jambes. C’est vraiment tout croche votre business, à l’image de Montréal. Un travail d’amateur.

BIXI season in mtl rules
In town for business. Took the bus for the first few days. Associate introduced me to BIXI - game changer. It drove my commuting costs from 10$ per commute to about 75cents per (with a 3 day pass). Used it for all quick trips in town. Perfect for a city the size of MTL.
