TEDIOUS

That was the most tedious and awful hop on hop off bus trip I have ever taken. My family bailed because we couldn’t stand the slow pace and obnoxious pre-recorded commentary. Total waste of money and I would not recommend. Way to ruin a sunny day in London, Big Bus Tours.

London in a day

I only had one day in London after a business trip to UK and got a ticket on Big Bus. I really enjoyed being able to get around the city without concern and enjoyed the tour guides on the bus. Thanks for a great day in London.

Big bus tours were great!

I took a day HOHO tour and a night tour. Both were excellent. We stopped at Union Square for the Chinatown tour but got loaded onto a bus by mistake and missed the Chinatown tour.
Where more than one tour is leaving, employees might confirm with tourists that they are in the correct line. Traveling can be very confusing so a double check by staff would help.
Booked the night tour as an add on so we’re able to take the Chinatown tour the next day.
If you have long legs, the busses with the red seats are a bit squishy. Also, try to get a live guide tour, rather than the pre recorded one. You get lots more information, they are very funny and really connect with the tourists.
For the night tour, it’s COLD! Dress warmly, fleece jacket and a windbreaker or a ski jacket is a must. Also a toque, or beanie is a must as well. It gets so windy you won’t recognize your hair at the end of the tour.
Blankets can be bought on the bus for $10.
A lovely way to spend an evening, highly recommended, but dress warmly!

Wouldn’t do this company again!

So you wait for the bus, huge lines, then they say manager denies anyone indoor downstairs seating unless pregnant or wheelchair? What about elderly, what about people who don’t want to climb stairs to be windblown? Your staff is unpleasant and argues loudly and aggressively openly at your stops. Hmmm in Canada customers come first, but here it’s the untouchable boss

Hard to locate the stops

Please ensure that you download the BB application as the stops are very hard to locate. Very frustrating to try and find the exact stops. A part from that it was great.

Dirty bus and very little information

Worst hop-on hop-off experience. We got on early in the morning and the bus was already dirty (papers, used ponchos, leaves, etc). The earphones did not work at the front of the bus. The girl doing the narration on the redline gave very little information and no history at all. The man on the blue line was much better. Would definitely NOT recommend this tour. Definitely not worth the money.

Useful but some drivers not pleasant

I have used the Big Bus before in Italy and New York. I found some of the drivers in London rude. As an example, one driver when asked where is the stop for the London Eye responded “I already said....”.

Philadelphia

Just downloaded app for a trip to Philadelphia and I see that although the city has your tours Philadelphia is not on the city’s available.
Please advise why not??

Rome March 2019.

When read all the reviews for a few different hop on. Hop off buses. They all had pros and cons. But I kept seeing this bus around Rome the most. We did not have any expectations when we decided to try. I have to say, we were pleasantly surprised!!! Excellent service from the staff on board. Purchased our tickets on the bus. Headphones and commentary worked very well. We only hopped off once at the Trevi Fountain and they gave us directions to get there. And easy to hop back on. Great app. Seemed to be accurate. All in all an great, easy experience.

Highly recommend

I will recommend this or another hop on/off bus tour like it when visiting Rome for the first time. Because let’s face it, you don’t want to drive in Rome unless you are familiar with the area. So overall this tour was very much worth every penny, and we saw as may of the well known tourist attractions as you can in 3 days.

Trip to Vegas

We would high recommend this Big Bus tour if you have not gone to Vegas.
Please try and get Suzy as your tour guide, she is awesome and was the best tour guide on our trip last week.
Plus with the bus you get free stuff and cheaper prices for stuff you want to see.

Full of bugs

This app is full of bugs. To get the buses updates you will need to restart the app every single time.

No Bus Info in Budapest

We bought tickets in Budapest Aug 06/18 based on good experience with the IOS app in Vienna. In Budapest it will not display bus location information. A staff member said he had received many similar complaints. Another said to reinstall the app. I just did so on Aug 07. Still no bus location information. Big Bus must know of this but they have not fixed it. Recommend you try the app in your desired city before spending money on tickets! We are not happy campers.

Wrong address for bus stops

Of course I waited half an hour at the wrong place... The direction of the stops indicated in the app are wrong. Would be nice to have the right address show up and also walking directions to the stops or a link to other map applications

No e-tickets?!

Crashes before opening
