App doesn’t open

Very frustrating! The app doesn’t open after the latest iOS update. I’ve tried deleting and reinstalling. It is always so buggy - freezes and shuts down in the middle of ordering so you have to redo all the selections. And now it just won’t open.

Doesn’t Work

The app crashes repeatedly when you hit the payment page and prices are different in the app than in-store, leading to a long time arguing with staff and a long time waiting for your order. Abysmal.

Tracking Issue

The tracking feature in the app (and even on the web) has never worked for me. It just always says live tracking will update once the driver leaves the store but it never updates and it’s always a mystery when the food will actually arrive 🤷‍♀️

Don’t bother it’s broken again.

Company doesn’t take this app seriously. It malfunctions regularly. Last time for months this time it been at least a week. Unfortunately, even if I wanted to pay more on Uber eats, they don’t offer the combination of items I generally get with this application. Forcing me to shop from other franchises and companies while they haemorrhage money from the app’s regulars -IPhone user. Customer service recommends. I just call up the restaurant, but I thought that’s what apps were supposed to replace. It’s like it’s the 1990s all over again. Maybe they’re saving money on application development and it just doesn’t work for everybody?

I sent an email but they suggested I was a security risk and told me to call customer service and customer service told me to respond to the email for assistance. When I respond to the email, I don’t get a further answer.

As the customer, I’m probably the least important piece in this puzzle right?

The app is easy to use including reward points and CAA discount. I really like the option to order in the app and pay cash at the restaurant at pickup. Most restaurants don’t allow this. Nice app

App always says 15 mins no matter how busy the store is. Constantly end up sitting in the chicken waiting room for over 20 mins beyond my quoted “order ready” time. Absurd to give the time if it’s not rooted in an ounce of data.

Whatever you’ve done has broken the app and I can’t place orders anymore. Keeps asking me to set up an order and enter my address which is already saved. Sucks to be us because I can’t order without this step. Luckily I have uber eats and I have no hassles with them.

Impossible to imagine a more useless app

I’m editing my review from 2 years ago. I’ve never heard back from anyone. I still have never been able to open this app. I have updated & reloaded everything to no avail. “Oops. Uh oh. Something went wrong. Please try again.” is all I ever get.

Broken app

It won’t let me click Save to select my address and delivery option, and won’t let me select food unless I pick my address. Which is already picked, the app doesn’t seem to register that it’s picked.

Initial order went smoothly, then after an hour and 15 mins and calling twice we were told the order was never submitted. Some of the worst customer service I have experienced. It will be the last order I make with Swiss Chalet.

Horrible customer service and user experience

We’ve been going to Swiss Chalet in person for decades, and ordering online through their app for a few years now. Usually orders are correct, and the food decent. The couple of times there’s been a problem, the restaurant has called to ask if we want a substitution.

However, today we ordered, then waited for our delivery… and waited… and waited… After a couple of hours of waiting, we called the customer service line after two hours to find out what was going on. We were told that they had put the order on hold and the store had tried to call us a couple of times. I had my phone in front of me the whole time, the same phone the store has called before, and no-one called. When we asked what they were going to do about it, she said that they were closed for deliveries for the evening.

So, take my money, make me wait two hours, then lie to me to pretend somehow it’s my fault I didn’t get what I’d paid for? We will never order from or visit another Swiss Chalet again in our lives.

Although I’m still able to pay with Apple Pay using the older iPad version of the app, for some reason no such option exists anymore in the latest update for the iPhone app. Disappointed to see that payment option get removed.

Awesome

We ordered the Chicken Pot Pie with garden salad (balsamic vinaigrette)and the other entree was 1/3 Slab BBQ Ribs & 1/4 Chicken; 2 strawberry cheesecake for dessert. The food was “hot” when delivered and was relatively quick. The Chicken Pot Pie had a light, flaky croissant-like top. The pieces of chicken in mine were good-size chunks. Same with the carrots. Could have used more green peas & corn niblets and a couple chunks of celery. Could have counted the 2-4 inside. Overall though, very tasty. Garden salad was fresh & crisp. Buns the same. But no containers of butter for buns. Chicken & BBQ ribs were also great. Love their Cheesecakes. This is a standard order for us.

New Update - Not working

I was forced to update the app, now I can’t complete an order. I tried repeatedly and kept getting an error on checkout. Before the update I used this weekly to order without a single issue.

The app opens up with a really great animation of rotisserie chicken. I swipe and I tap, but nothing else happens.

Great user design

Love the integration with Apple touch ID and Apple Pay. I was able to completely place an order for a family pack and pay for it without having to enter a single character from the keyboard very good job!
