Forces logout when I leave settings->account
When I click ‘settings’ then ‘account’ and try to leave that page I’m forced to sign out in order to leave. I have to reset the app in order to work around this. Also I was added as a driver to a vehicle and I received the email confirmation but the vehicle does not show up in the app.

Faster launch?
Is it just me, or is the app faster to launch now? This is good, because messing with a phone to pop the frunk looks really weird …
Feature request: scheduled charging in the app. This would help out apartment-dwellers who may not be within convenient distance of the plugged-in vehicle.
And charge current adjustment from the app as well!

Requires password entry at random times
For the most part this works really well, but every now and then, usually when you’re holding groceries or in a hurry, it suddenly requires that you re authenticate by entering your password, before you can unlock your car. Incredibly annoying.
There’s an option to use Touch ID or Face ID, which you would think would solve it by authenticating with that, but nope, that gets disabled too when password is requested.
I can’t imagine this is a feature, so it’s gotta he a bug, but it’s been like this for the 2+ years we’ve owned the car, on multiple phones, and many people have complained, so not sure what to think.
Otherwise it works as advertised. Just one really annoying problem that keeps occurring :/

Free wifi connection
Often times, free wifi needs you to open a webpage and click on yes! Please allow Tesla to connect to these free wifi. As I cannot setup a wifi at the undergrad parking!

Fails to connect
Recently, the app regularly fails to connect for extended periods of time (24h+), then everything comes back on. Not related to network availability (same at different locations when the car/app exhibits the issue).
Plus, I’d hope to see more features like Siri Shortcuts or charge planning (like what we have with the car’s system options).

Calendar connection wth Apple 7
Had steady and constant connectivity to the phone calendar app in the car....this app still shows connectivity - but car doesn’t. Tried resetting app and car....what’s up?

Great but room for improvement
For the car; Can control door lock, pre heat or cool car before you arrive with heat seaters and defrosting too.
Remote start, makes your phone a key to open car, trunk and hood remotely.
See if car is locked or not.
Can see state of charge and if plugged in, start, stop charging. Set charge limit.
See where the car is anytime.
Summon car back and forth.
Smart summon for Valet like service but needs improvement.
Schedule service or roadside help.
Order upgrades.
Can look at google map on phone and share location to app which sends to car and sets up navigation when you get into the car.
Would like to see Apple Watch app than can act as a key, see where it is and set climate unlock doors etc.
Would like to see phone app be game controller for games when parked.

Great app but needs a few more touches!
1.Being able to see if the windows are rolled down-holding the vent button to have all the windows roll down all the way like it works on other cars by holding the unlock button on the key fob
2.Having the car animation display if the lights are turned on
Being able to rotate the car manually and see the car from a 360 view.
3.An option to view sentry mode would be incredible too!
4. Being able to control the fan speed and direction from the climate menu.
5. Rear window defrost option would be super awesome too!

I wish would we would be able to ask siri to open frunk, trunk, charging point and turn on/thaw the climate. Also a Apple watch application would be VERY VERY HELPFUL. ⚡️💖

upgrade too easily added by accident
The app was open, may case cover closed and hit the upgrade menu. On opening it I saw a purchase was made. The checkboxes for upgrades are automatically selected. They should be designed to be dafaulted as empty/I selected, requiring a direct touch or secondary confirmation. Then the “upgrade” option on the home menu disappeared. It was a couple days till it reappeared & I saw it purchased. If I don’t get a refund this app just cost me $3000!

Login does not work
Every few months, the app logs me out and wont let me log back in until i change the password, despite logging in just fine on the web browser. Extremely inconvenient for a car that uses the phone app as a primary key.

Must have for any TESLA owner
Wish it allowed me to pre-condition the batteries on demand. This way I can have them warm by the time I drive. Would be useful in winter months especially.
Also wish that I could control the amps that I am charging at from the app the way you can in the car. There are times I want to charge faster or slower and I have to go outside to the car to control it manually. Should be a simple thing to add since I can already start and stop the charging from the app.
Overall it is a great app. Love the new smart summon feature although it’s still a bit buggy (loses connection all the time). I am sure it’s an LTE issue more than anything.
Add these two features and I will update to 5 stars.
Have owned my Model X for almost 3 years now and love that Tesla keeps adding new features. The features I am asking for above are something a lot of owners want. I love the new precondition feature that I can set to have my car ready in the morning at the same time every day while plugged in. That’s a huge feature. But what about other times that I need to do a long drive in the dead of winter? That’s where the manual “precondition” feature would really make a huge difference.

Cannot book appointment through app.
Every time I try to book a service to repair the sun visor clip on the passenger side, it keeps giving an area saying error processing mobile appointment slots when the address I input is close to all the service centres in Vancouver. Annoying that the cheap clip snapped the third time it was ever used and now I can’t even get it fixed under warranty.

This is a good free app for all Tesla owners. Wish they had an iPad version. Does everything it’s supposed to do so no complaints here. Would like to see the rear trunk button on the main screen beside the frunk. Live entry view from the app would nice for owners with enhanced connectivity.

The worst
App is the worst I have ever experienced. Spins and spins and doesn’t connect to vehicle - very frequently. Could never rely on this for keyless driving in a million years. This is the company that wants us to rely on their technology for automated driving? What a joke. Let’s see your app work every day for a month or keep the radio connected without a “loading error” for a week before playing with peoples lives.

App for Owner
Guess this app is only for people own a Tesla. I have a login but I can’t even watch any of the videos which I find strange because it would be an automatic marketing platform to show people how easy to use etc. Clearly built by engineers. I ordered a car and you’re smart enough to show me my car as I built it but the pic is 1/3 of the screen and I can’t even zoom in or expand or see a slideshow of the interior etc. Guess you never considered I *might* show someone (wink wink). Way to nerf your customers excitement Tesla :p

Logs me out when app closes
Since 3.9.0, the app logs me out almost every time it closes and I have to log back in. This is a hassle, but the biggest hassle is that I lose the phone key connectivity every time making the app completely useless for my Model 3.
I tried uninstalling, rebooting, etc. The problem really seems to come from the app and not from the car.
Please fix this asap.
The app is great if it were not for this issue.

Free SC KM wiped out
The latest app update wiped out all of my free supercharging KM. 2 weeks later and this issue still hasn’t been fixed. Was charged for all of my SC sessions during a road trip when they should have been free. Extremely disappointed. Be VERY CAREFUL when you update the mobile app!!

Latest update caused Powerwall not to recognize grid
Please revert back to previous update. Latest update has caused Powerwall to not recognize connection to grid. Now when SolarEdge has charged Powerwall the Tesla brain has Powerwall increase AC to overcurrent to shut down SolarEdge power production....this is a software issue as there were no issues until this latest update

Security features in app need to be addressed
I have been using the Tesla app for 6 months and it works well. From a security standpoint it does not have multi factor authentication enabled (MFA) which is really important feature that is needed to help prevent the car from being stolen when credentials compromised. I hope the app developers see this and come back with a date when this will be implemented.

Inconvenient when unlocking the car
Most of the times it does not unlock when I try the door handle. I need to pull out my iphone Xr from the pocket and raise it to wake up the screen. This worked so well about 6mths back with my iphone 6!

Bug to fix
When i look up the position of my parked tesla, it first show it correctly but quickly switch to another tesla moving on the other side of the continent. This worries me about security for the car if i can access another car from my app phone.
