When calculating fertility for pregnancy with natural family planning, Cycles takes advantage of scientific research that’s more accurate than the 'rhythm method' of yesteryear and has a real-world failure rate comparable to that of condoms. so bad

i went to start logging my period and suddenly it started showing a bunch of random information that i hadn’t input/that wasn’t on my other apps. it said i had “logged” other symptoms and “sex” when i had never logged anything other than my period. so horrible. i don’t know where it’s getting this information from. do not recommend.

What happened??

What happened to this app?? I had a baby and now I come back after 10 months and it is no longer as user friendly as it was!! Awful. Deleting.

Sync is unreliable

Many times the partner sync has been either off for no explicable reason, or the app has simply logged itself out disabling sync without warning. And then they have the nerve to make sync a pay-only feature. Uninstalled.

Intermittent

It used to work well and now it is malfunctioning. A lot.

I have tried a few apps that track my menstrual cycle and they don't do what Cycles does. This one gave me a visual cue, to let me know where I am during the month, plus I can make notes about how I feel for personal use and medical visits. It makes keeping data easy.

Now, it has been changing my cycle and I lost years of data. I use this app for my medical visits. I am really disappointed.

This app has been so valuable to me. It’s the first time I’ve accurately read led my cycle in decades! It’s extremely accurate. It allows me to look at historical data on my moods, health, etc which helps my doctor a lot.

Older version was more user friendly

I preferred the older version. This version looks too childish and too bright. The graphics more too much and it’s unnecessary. I liked the icon in the center that we could press to r cord additional data instead of having them below in a menu.

Price increase from $3.99 to $39.99 a year!?!

I’m pretty upset about the over 900% increase in cost! To be honest, I liked the old look better and the $3.99 price tag. Disappointing. I like this app and I’ve been using Cycles for over 5 years. Last week I was invited to beta test the “new app” (I was never send a code for test flight) and there isn’t much change except the price tag, which I won’t be purchasing now and hence the 3 star rating...

Confusing, not intuitive

So hard to enter period start date. Also, after many months of a shortened cycle, it still hasn’t adapted. Trackers should be super simple, and this one is just confusing. Circle visual is not effective Because it doesn’t correlate with the calendar, it’s just an arbitrary circle for me to look at once a month and not connect with anything else that goes on in life.

Alwsys have to send an email to my partner to be linked to her cycle. I finaly ask her to send me msg at each step of her cycle... it’s faster!!!

Great if you already know what you’re doing

I got the app so that I could START keeping track of my cycles. Only in order to set up the app you have to know when your last period was and the average length of your cycles. The features look promising but only if you already are responsible and knowing what’s going on, not if you’re starting from scratch.

very educational as well as practical

I love this app for it’s simplicity of use and great reminders, but also for the sexual health information. I learned new things about my cycle that make life as a person who menstruates easier.

Not bad, could be better

This is an okay way to keep track of your cycle. I wish that they had more options under "mood". Angry is not really sufficient for the varied kinds of anger I experience! I also wish there was a better way to view the month as a whole. Being able to see all that I charted or wrote for the entire month would be extremely helpful. As well there should be a button to tell it if you’re pregnant or have had something else that has disrupted your periods.

I think this app is really great especially for girls like me that couldn’t or didn’t track their period before...it is also good if you have a partner and he or she wants to track it down as well, which is n though I’m 13 and don’t have a partner yet😂. The only thing I don’t have a good opinion in is the fact that you have to pay for some things like if you want your partner to track it with you and also some other things... but overall I think the app is great.

Good but missing alternate birth control options.

I enjoy how streamline this app is, but as someone who has never been able to be on the pill, it's not capable of tracking my birth control. Having options like Nuvaring or IUDs would be really great.

Bad UX

Downloaded the app to start tracking my period, but won’t let me do anything until I know when my last period started and finished. How am I supposed to know if I haven’t tracked it before?
