I am pleased to present to you my official app.
I created it to invite you to collaborate with me – through Shatoetry.
Shatoetry lets you arrange words to compose sentences, statements, phrases, messages… and hear me perform them for you.
That’s right: You author it, and I’ll recite it.
And what do we call that? A Shatism, of course.
You can save the Shatisms you create, send them to your friends by email, and share them through social media.
You can team up with other Shatoetists through GameCenter and co-create with your friends online. Or pass it around the room to take turns Shatoetizing with that person next to you.
Some people like to use it to compose poetry and haiku… but the more common and practical creations are simple sentences, phrases, word juxtapositions… even individual words sent in my voice as messages, comments, and communications to friends can be really fun.
You’ve heard my spoken-word performances. But until now, you’ve only ever heard what I wanted to say. This one-of-a-kind app makes it truly interactive for everyone. It’s a way for you to express your thoughts and your ideas, using my voice.
Now when you want to say something, with Shatoetry on your iPhone, I’m there to say it for you!

I would rather type in words than pick them "from my fridge". Add that feature and there wont be an answering in the western hemisphere without hie voice.
How about adding sentences or phrased words pre arranged?

To be able to have a pitch meter that alters the speech/pronunciation would save you (mr shatner) lots of work. Do that & ill pay large for it. Caffeine is hilarious.

Great entertainment, I would just add a button to randomly generate some shatoetry from your word lists. I really think this is a great app, it's like having William in your pocket. What an awesome way to go through your day. :-) big thanks to the development team.

Nice app but...
I'm really not a big complainer but I'm getting really sick and tired of in-app purchases after paying an initial cost. Too many developers do this now…otherwise a fun app.

Fun idea but glitchy
I can't get any audio! Love the idea but scrolling around for words is a hassle. Seems like the option to just type in the words I want should be the most discoverable, and the scrolling word list the optional way to create. Still, none of it matters if I can't hear what I've created, even w vibrate turned off on my phone.

A waste of $$$
I am very disappointed in this app. I wanted to create humorous dramatic complete sentences for Shatner to say, not a jumble of random words. This app verges on useless.

Limited use, no iPad support
Fun to hear Shatner but a bad interface combined with unnecessary audio cues makes for a second-rate experience. Price should be $1 at the most. Also lacks iPad support. No idea why.

Disappointing
Very disappointing, glad I only wasted $3. Interface is poor. Word choice , and word choice layout poor. If someone sold this idea to shatner, then the should be given a red shirt and sent packing. A waste of time

It's more shatner but not presented well
Basically this is like those magnetic fridge poetry kits. You have a strange and not very large list of words that you string together to make the shatoetry.
I agree with others that the list seems both small and poorly thought out. You cannot create (or mock) most of shatner's famous lines. (No wing or thing for example)
I both hope that we can get a larger word list in an update and hope that Shatner is too busy with better things to spare to the time to record them... Conflicted I guess this app leaves me.
If it were a buck I would be that much happier then the 3 I paid for it.

Don't buy
The interface feedback sounds and megalong load screens make it unusably slow for the single imaginable use: busting out Shatner in response to conversational reference.
Needlessly complex and clunky.

What?
This gas the worst interface ever. How are you suppose to create a sentence, search for every word? No text input and no pasting of text. It would take 10's of minutes to make a sentence. It sounds good but what the heck! Come on Bill make this easier to have fun.

Very fun app!
Finally! We can put words in the bard's mouth! ;-)
Concept is brilliant, and first version is good, but buggy… crashes trying to share on FB.
Would love the following in future versions:
- iPad support so you can see more words at once without scrolling
- save your favourites so you can play/edit them later
- easy way to see other users' Shatisms
- link to Bill's video where he reads Sarah Palin's tweets! (for inspiration!)

Fun & Buggy
This app is pretty great but I'm not able to search for words which is difficult. If you have trouble with 'Shat That' make sure your phone isn't set to vibrate!

Audio not working
It won't "Shat that", but will email an audio file that plays. No immediate Shatner gratification. Disappointing.

Missing
Just purchased on iPhone 5 and instead of words I have Missing:508584dc, Missing:more numbers, over and over. Uninstalled and reinstalled and still does not work.

Fridge magnet fun
Great app definitely is fun to use but it crashes on me when I try to share anything and erases the wonderful phrases I put together if you fix that it's a 5 :)
