Pause Your VPN to sign in

For the first time, I could not log in to the app. Then I saw all the bad/recent 1star reviews in here, and wanted to share my fix. I tried pausing my VPN during the sign in process, and I was immediately able to sign in to the app.
The app works just as well as it always did.

This is one of the worst customer apps out there. It takes FOREVER to load my account and to navigate between my different services. Even with the most current update. I usually give up because it is too frustrating and time consuming to view my information in the app. TELUS would benefit to greatly improve this app to keep customers.

Terrible

I downloaded the app to set up 2 step verification. Can’t set it up because there are no “Contact and Security” settings in the hamburger menu on the left side. Tried to get help but there was none. Tried to leave feedback in the app but the page was not available. Seriously! The app needs a lot of work.

2-factor Authentication Setup Failure

I was not able to set up 2-factor authentication through the mobile app. Despite following the instructions, the setup process does not complete successfully, as it always shows an error message when I hit “launch setup” and it takes me to App Store to download the app which I already have it installed on my phone. I hope this issue can be addressed and resolved in the next update.

New Update Made App Unusable (Dec 2025)

The app was basic before but still functional. Now, it only shows an almost blank page that says “Let’s redirect you. For a better experience and access to all features, manage this account on My TELUS web”, and has a button below to be directed to the Telus webpage.
After being redirected to the web, the page is hardly functional. Have the screen is cut off, most of the options aren’t displayed and you can’t read the cut off text.
Literally no one asked for this and now the app is trash. So frustrating.

Telus company is awful

Telus has horrible customer service. We’ve spent dozens of hours trying to get our bill corrected on a basic plan and they still screw it up every pay period. You sometimes have to stay on hold for an hour every time you try to another agent. It was 3 hours on hold once when they transferred me 3 times.

Urgent Issue – My TELUS Folder Suddenly Inaccessible

I am extremely concerned and dissatisfied with this situation.
I have always saved many important files under the My TELUS folder on my iPhone, including my TELUS bills and other personal documents. The folder suddenly became invisible, even though I did not delete the My TELUS app and I never removed or hid the folder myself.
I was informed that TELUS does not automatically hide or remove folders, yet this explanation does not resolve the issue. I have already uninstalled and reinstalled the My TELUS app last night, and nothing changed. The folder is still missing, and I am completely unable to access my files.
This is unacceptable. These files are mine, and they were stored under a TELUS app folder that I trusted to be stable and accessible. If an app update, storage change, or internal system change caused this folder to disappear, TELUS must take responsibility and provide a solution.
I am requesting immediate technical investigation and recovery so that I can regain access to my files as soon as possible. Please clearly explain:
• Why the My TELUS folder became inaccessible
• Whether this was caused by an app update or internal change
• How TELUS will restore access to my files
I expect this issue to be escalated and resolved urgently.

Unreliable and spammy

I had some random overlay loading over my app and freezing for weeks, preventing any app usage. Generally unreliable, e. g. clicking dispute gets stuck at loading available bills.
App pushed a lot of promos, and clicking them often lands you at random places in the app.

Hire more customer service workers

Started this conversation with Telus, 4 hours ago. Am on hold for who knows how much longer. After being on hold for one hour first time they accidentally disconnected me. They do not have a "we will phone you back system whatsoever. You cannot choose silence in those 5 hours. You must hear the Telus song plus ads for themselves during those five hours.
They only employ ppl to answer your calls in countries where the minimum wage is two cents a day or something. Yet that two cents a day is apparently too costly for a corporation with a tri-opoly, a cartel with Rogers & Bell, to pay so they won't hire sufficient numbers of workers to reduce the 5 hour wait.
My neighbor was on hold for 9 hours. It is time Canadians picketed the CRTC. That is the face of the Canadian government that coddled and protects Telus, bell, & Rogers from being effectively opposed by customers.
We are a plutocracy where no matter which flavour of govt is in power, they bribe the politicians to keep them free of hearing from us. Apparently these reviews are the only method of complaint available to customers.
The corporation doesn't read our feedback here. If a low level software worker gets hired to read and respond the feedback he sends up the chain never gets read by the billionaires and upper mgt anyway.

App continually broken

Support links often lead to 404 errors.
Telus web forces use of this app which is unable to make changes.
Calling in on the support line assumes you must have telus mobile. Support line often busy and calls dropped.
This app looks good but clearly does not perform many functions other than lookup.
Recent PiK service redesign has caused many service outages leading me to write this review.

Too slow...

Before I thought this app was too slow. Now, it’s not even loading. This does not bode well for the quality and integrity of TELUS’ service. I mean, for one of the richest (most overpriced) companies in Canada, you’d think they would have a better app to use. The funny thing is, it says “manage your TELUS services in a snap”. Is this a joke because, I am not laughing.
I just want to check my bill and the app is saying “please try again later”. That’s ridiculous! When calling TELUS you can wait on hold for over an hour and now the app doesn’t even work? Makes me think that TELUS does not care about their customers at all and just wants their money. Also, stop begging for my hard earned money. I’m not going to donate anything so make it go away permanently. If I do donate, I will chose to whom my money is donated, not you!
TELUS, you really need to work on your customer service, it’s poor at best.
I think it is time to my switch service provider.

Unacceptable

Not allowing customers to access their account through your app, in which they pay a grossly inflated amount for, is not acceptable. Your app demands that we update our phone to the newest iOS that which will inevitably overwhelm the processing function of our so-called “dated” phone. Which in turn makes us purchase a new phone that is out of our budget.
I do not appreciate being unable to access my personal account with the company I am in a contract with.

Login issues within the app

Worked good at first, but recently every time I try opening the application, it states that I’ve tried to enter my password five times and now my account is locked... However when I login through the website on my computer, my account is not locked. So therefore deleting this application.

App stopped working.

Yeesh, don't you know how to support multiple versions of the OS? My app says I need to update, but according to the App Store, I have the latest version of the app. Looking at other reviews, you decided to stop supporting 10.3.x. On the bright side, I can free up some space on my phone by deleting the app.

Quite disapointing for a well known telecommunication compagny like Telus to put an update that no more allow users to check their account. My Telus is no more mine... Weak.

Update for iPhone 5c please

I am very disappointed that the latest update is requiring us to update. And yet I cannot update with our iPhone 5c! (an iOS 32-bit device)
I require to use this phone for my kids as I cannot afford to buy a new phone every time an iOS update or what not comes up please allow us to use older versions of iPhone with this app.
My kids need to be able to manage their usage on their iPhone 5c (32-bit iOS devices) and now they cannot nor manage any of their restrictions and usage notifications.
Yes, the new version might add some whiz bang new feature but what use is that if suddenly the device that is on the Telus network suddenly can't use any features at all?? There is no reason that the backend of this app cannot support the older 32-bit version.
****At the very least remove the update this app message on the last compatible version for the iPhone 5c so that I can run it onto the device. ****

Need Data Usage back

Need to see data left and days left out back in app. Isn't that what an app is for? To track usage in the go? Can't rate it higher with the best tool gone.
