Constant connection issues
It tells me all the time that there is no internet connection when there is and there is nothing wrong with my phone. This app seems to only work on wifi which is super annoying.

First time Beck app user
Quick and efficient. When I tried to add a tip through the app and somehow it didn’t go through, my driver said don’t worry about the tip! After spending thousands on Uber in the past year and enduring their terrible and dismissive customer service, including their refusal to speak to you on the phone, I am giving Beck another try!

What’s up with the declined payments?!
Several times now I’ve had my Autopay declined, even if there’s nothing wrong with my credit card and I’ve used it successfully many times in the Beck app. For the longest time, Autopay worked fine, but with these glitches, my confidence in the Beck app has been severely eroded.

Worst company ever
Used to app to prebook a cab 24 hrs in advance. 6:30 am no cab shows up. Call the office “oh we are very busy , might be an hour”. Find out that they don’t see prebooked rides until 10 min prior to scheduled pickup. WHY BOTHER HAVING THE FEATURE?

Slow slow slow
The newest version takes a good 5 minutes to load. I have a new XR so it’s not my phone. It’s faster to call a cab.

Don’t bother - the app doesn’t help get a cab on time
Downloaded the app and scheduled a pickup for about an hour later. When I tried to change the pickup time, it wouldn’t let me, saying I had to delete my original one and make a new order. But then it didn’t like two similar orders and told me to call Beck. Which I did, and a very friendly woman said “no problem, your cab will be there at 9:40!”
Except at 9:43 the cab wasn’t there and when I called AGAIN, they didn’t seem to have anyone on the way - they just pulled someone from the cab stand at Kipling. Who didn’t arrive til 9:50. (And then the driver had never heard of Long Branch GO Station!)
Bottom line: The app doesn’t actually help you get an on-time rise, and Beck is just as hit or miss as ever.

Orange screen
Sorry i have tried to instal the app in my iphone but can’t pass the registration screen. After the text message there is no place to put the code. Iphone XR, version 12.2

Cannot register... frozen on registration screen
Guys... can’t even paste the registration code into the app. It’s just got the orange screen and the help button. Nowhere to paste or enter the code and nowhere to go. Restarted registration, same deal. Iphone 6S by the way, ios 12.2.

Works well
I’m assuming all the complain-y reviews are for old versions?? Used app when the phone lines were clogged from a storm... Cab was there in 10 minutes. Correct ETA and showed him en route... Haven’t tried Hail feature though.
Oh, and you reply the text code to the number that sent it - you don’t enter it in the app. Seems to be confusing peoples.

Used to be great
When I first got the app, I used it all the time and it was great! My last 6 attempts to use it have been useless. The drivers seem to have figured out how to use it to their advantage instead of yours. Either that, or the person assigning cabs to call has been drinking heavily. I order a cab, the app tells me it’s 2 minutes away. 10 minutes later, the app shows the cab heading away from my address and tells me it’s 20 minutes away. Meanwhile I watch a dozen beck cabs driving by me on the street, empty. Also recently, the app tells me the cab has arrived. No, it hasn’t. Last time the driver went to wrong address and called me to blame it on me. App wouldn’t allow me to cancel because it said my car had arrived. Hailed another cab. Deleted app.

Don’t rely on it carry cash instead
The app only works if you call beck directly through the app, meaning that if there are 3 taxis lined up and you hail one of them they will only take you if you pay them without using the app. Customer service insist that all drivers will accept it even if hailed down but apparently they are quite wrong. The entire set up is dysfunctional and I would not go near it again. Just carry cash if you want to get home!

Ordered a cab via this app, then watched as about 50 available cabs drove by about 2 blocks away on Queesn street as I stupidly waited almost 10 minutes for the cab actually assigned me my this stupid app to show up. Bad app, bad company.

Easy and efficient.
This app is easy to use and I’ve never encountered any bugs or crashing. Some customization options are limited, but if you just need to grab a cab, its straightforward ordering system can’t be beat.

Not Uber
Idk why everyone is complaining about Uber when taxis can't even provide the same amount of service that Ubers do. Can't even call the taxi, can't determine the actual amount that it will cost. If taxis can give this information then sure. App needs improvement.

I'm trying hard not to use Uber. This app isn't helping.
I've used it about six times so far. It's only worked properly once!! Other times either the taxi never arrived or the payment didsn't work and I had to pay cash...but my credit card was still charged!!!).Terrible user experience. Please fix or you will have handed another customer to Uber.

So much better now
I've used this app for a couple of trips recently and I'm so much happier with how it works. It's a huge improvement. The app is responsive, shows me most of the data I want to see and seems to be quite stable.
The only last piece of information I would like to see is an estimate of the number of nearby cabs and approximate estimated arrival time *before* I start a booking. It would help users plan their trips. Right now you show an estimated trip time and cost which is great. But showing an estimated wait time would be double great.
Keep up the great work! This has now replaced Uber as my taxi hailing app of choice in Toronto.

Tips not happening
There's an auto tip feature, but it doesn't appear to do anything. I think of all the trips of taken and I'm sad that my payment through the app didn't include a tip.
When I asked a driver about it he called the system "junk".

Very bad service
This review is for the service not the app parse but if ur getting this app it's for the cab service so. The driver charged me $25 for 1.5 km just caus I had 3 boxes with me. And I had no option to rate the drive or get the price checked. Getting uber next time

I updated the app hoping that it will work now but no luck. I get the orange beck screen when I open the app, the screen goes black for a few seconds and then it crashes. This is still a useless app.

Unreliable and Frustrating
I have relied on this app for a while, and it was good. But the new version has all kinds of kinks. My time is wasted when I have to input my details 4 times because it can't keep them straight. Incredibly frustrating. Please fix it.

App is broken.
This app used to work quite well but this latest version makes it virtually unusable. It crashes, it asks you to enter your details, it gives you a "server error", and when you can get through all that after closing and restarting the app several times over, you need to adjust payment settings. Once you've done that, when paying your driver - the automatic tipping function doesn't work. Best to just call Beck or use another taxi company app. It's a shame, this app was once very solid and functional. Now it wouldn't even pass Alpha testing: who at Beck decided to release this? Do they want to give their business over to Uber???

Doesn't accept payment over the app it says it does but it won't work and they hold your passenger hostage. If anyone at beck is reading this, sell your assets now while you still can.

Flaws with current update
The drivers trip no longer shows. This allows no idea as to when the cab will be arriving. Also cab drivers shouldn't be able to cancel trips after 5mins en route without a call. Other then that the app is great

Unreliable since the latest update
Every single time I use the app it crashes or presents me with an error. When I call, I find that sometimes the order has gone through other times not. It's getting increasingly frustrating.

This app sucks.
But I guess that's to be expected from Beck. Whenever you order a cab it says "please await confirmation". Confirmation never comes. And don't bother scheduling a pick-up for a specific time because confirmation never comes, they show up whenever they feel like it AND they're rude when you're not ready. The only reason I ever use this app is because Uber still doesn't accept debit.

This app is good in theory but I had aproblem:
1. I pre-ordered a cab but the app said the request was submitted but awaiting confirmation. After 30 mins, I cancelled it because there was no confirmation. So I requested a 2nd time but asked for the cab asap.
A cab arrived and I jumped in. Then a second arrived.
So it would seem that the ordering process might be one way without the ability to confirm if a car is confirmed. I think taxi drivers need to be using a system to take advantage if the app. Otherwise your app request goes to a dispatcher to fill.
