Description
iFetal is a scientific calculator designed by doctors for medical professionals, and with recent modifications, it is now suitable for patients. This could be a valuable present to 1st time pregnant couples for a better pregnancy care. iFetal provides more than 55 different calculations including normal fetal measurements, standard dates for screening tests, pregnancy tips plus weekly changes with pictures and audible heartbeats. You can email, save and track the results, or, share your comments directly from the app to FaceBook and Twitter.
Here are some of the information iFetal can calculate for you:
the day the egg was conceived (conception date)
the due date,
the time frame for 1st antenatal appointment
9 recommended antenatal appointments from week 6 to delivery
the earliest date that a home pregnancy test can becomes positive
the earliest date that the fetal heart will start beating
the earliest date to book for a dating ultrasound scan
the standard dates for booking a routine fetal developmental ultrasound scan
the recommended dates for booking 1st and 2nd trimester screening blood tests including combined test (nuchal translucency scan, PAPP-A and beta hCG), multiplexed maternal plasma DNA sequencing test (a new blood test that may eliminate the need for NT scan and amniocentesis), triple, quad or penta screening tests
time frame for amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling (if required)
iFetal allows you to adjust the number of days in each period (not everyone has 28 day cycles) thus the most accurate calculation of due date and conception date
fetal age can be calculated by: 1) the first day of the last menstrual period (LMP), 2) by conception date (CD) or IVF date, 3) by previous ultrasound scan, and 4) by due date (EDD)
reverse calculation of the LMP, CD by EDD or any other methods
correlated gestational sac diameter with the gestational age in the first trimester
calculation of the 1st day of the 2nd and 3rd trimesters
countdown to the due date
correlation of the EGA with the normal ranges of the human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) levels in the first trimester
correlation of the EGA with the expected size of the yolk sac diameter (YSD) in the first trimester
correlation of the EGA with the expected size of the gestation sac diameter (GSD) in the first trimester
correlation of the EGA with the normal ranges of the estimated fetal weight (EFW)
correlation of the EGA with the normal ranges of the amniotic fluid index (AFI)
correlation of the EGA with the normal range of fetal length (crown to rump) before 20 weeks
correlation of the EGA with the normal range of fetal length (crown to heel) after 20 weeks
correlation of the EGA with the normal range of fetal heart rate (FHR) for each week of pregnancy
correlation of the EGA with the expected size of fetal head, abdomen, femur length, long bones in the lower leg, humerus length, long bones in the forearm and foot length

Fantastic app for quickly being able calculate accurate dates before doing ultrasounds on my ob patients. And for the pregnant patients, this app is full of important information and dates which are easy to forget or to keep track off amidst all the different doctor appointments women may have while pregnant. Highly recommend it for both personal use and medical use.

Now this App really shines, the new colors and graphics make it more user friendly, and the ability to name and save files is perfect for keeping track of Pts if you go to different locations.
Save and Print are welcome additions,
Once you start using this App, you will wonder how you ever got along without it.

Great app to keep track of my baby's heart rate
Ever since I've downloaded the app, I keep track of everything at any time, its helps me calm down whenever I feel like anything's wrong because of all the detailed info given to me. I also can keep track of my baby's heart rate! 😌😌Definitely one that I would recommend to any pregnant or soon to be pregnant women! Enjoy ladies!! Btw, the new logo and colour scheme is very calming, good job!

All systems go, love the new version of this app
OMG I thought the app was helpful before, now with the added data base, the colour definition of the data, capacity to print directly or open on my Mac it makes my job so much easier and with new 10 antenatal appointments, I can now easily organize the details in my calendar.

Sent the App to all my nieces
All my nieces are having babies so it is the perfect app for them to either chart the progress or get some info...and they love it.

Love seeing the pictures of how my baby is developing
This is my second pregnancy and I find it REALLY cool to see the drawings of what my baby looks like. At first I found it a bit confusing to use, but then I read your instructions... (duh... reading instructions is always a good idea...) The information up top and all the stuff about when to get what test is a bit too complicated for my laywoman-ness but my midwife seems to find it very cool! With my first pregnancy I was going on a website every day to see pictures of the what the baby might look like, and what the heart rate sounds like but now I can do it from my iphone which is so much better. At my birthing classes I've been showing this cool app to the other mamas and last class we spent 20 minutes entering in everyone's due dates and looking at the pictures... it was great fun!

Nice but
This is a good quick app for calculating fetal age but i often have to use a wheel to determine when a patient will be between say 18-20 +6 etc it would be nice if this app could do that. Description also says hcg values will be given but i do not see them
