An Excellent App
Once you told me that I can access iTunes Match through the settings button in the app, it worked great. Well worth the price to have an alternative to the apple app. Thank you!

‣ Picky keeps your Artists and Albums lists uncluttered by hiding those with only a few songs – simply adjust the filters to taste.
‣ Queue up tracks to play later: simply swipe to the left on a song until the ‘+’ icon appears and turns solid orange, then let go to queue it.
‣ Use Picklists to quickly play (or queue) groups of songs – like playing an album without its bonus tracks.
‣ Easily sort the main Albums list and artists’ album lists with just a couple taps: by title, release date, duration, or by date added to your library.

And by popular demand I’ve also added a Recently Played widget which shows the albums you’ve most recently been listening to.
‣ Picky is now fully optimized for iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Mini, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max.
‣ Recently Added (and Recently Played) widgets now have an option to use a more compact view that displays more albums: just touch and hold and select Edit Widget. Note: due to system limitations widgets added before this option was available can take up to a day to start loading again after the app update — to fix this faster simply remove and re-add the widget.
‣ Fixed a bug where the Recently Added widget could sometimes fail to load due to large album art.
‣ Fixed a visual glitch with the Now Playing bar and wide album art.

This is an excellent music app, it's what the Music app should be, and still isn't.

Find entire ripped CDs on the “digital shelf”
This app is a mixed bag: it has one killer key feature i have never found elsewhere (filter artists by number of songs); however it lacks search capability which renders it useless for most day to day use where one wants to find specific songs among thousands in the collection (especially if you dont renember exact artist or song title).
This app has one key feature for old school guys like me who want to find and play entire albums or CD’s in their music collection, but you want to scan the collection to decide what to listen to:
It offers the digital equivalent of scanning through the milk crate of albums or shelf of CD’s: by filtering artists by the number of songs, I can separate the entire CD’s I have ripped from the thousands of one hit wonders in my collection, to find the old favourite that hits my mood from the shortlist.
I use this app only for this due to absence of search. Otherwise (regrettably) i use the terrible (but searchable) ios Music app.

Broken in iOS 10.
The app says I need to enable access to my media library through iOS settings, but there's no way to do that without the app first requesting those permissions itself, as far as I can tell.

Just what I was looking for.
Not being much of a streaming person due to a limited data plan and a fan of much music unlikely to ever to make it to streaming services, I felt left out in the cold when I upgraded from a device on iOS 6 to an SE running iOS 10. I tried tweaking the stock Music app settings and tried some common replacement apps when that didn't work, but still found myself really missing the simple beauty and organization of the pre-Apple Music iOS Music App.
Luckily I found this app, which seems to be everything I loved about the old Music.app plus a bunch of other nice features that seem handy but are happy to stay out of your way when you don't want them. For those of us that a functional, non-gimmicky, and well-polished music app for recent versions of iOS, I highly recommend it.

Very nice stream-lined design. An excellent alternative to the built-in Music app, particularly if you're partial to listening/filtering songs by artist.

Very useful!
Picky is unique in its functionality to pick out individual songs. A simple, but very effective quality-of-life improvement! The dynamic player is also quite gorgeous.

Use this App, and make a difference
I very rarely write reviews. A product has to be a real stand out to spend this amount of time. But this is important.
As quickly as possible I will tell you why this App is breed then the pre-installed iTunes "App".
Picky is like the older iTunes App. It's good! It does the job.
iTunes is terrible. It reroutes users to their store. They monopolize, manipulate and waste so much of a users precious time trying to get you to buy more music. Because they make money off of it.
The worst thing for any customer, is to have their product tied to the machine that uses the product with no limitations.
It creates bias, and complications when it comes to servicing the customer they PAYED already for both services/items.
I have been an Apple user and fan for 10 years now. But those days are over. They used to be the good guys, the underdogs, and PCs dominated.
Now that they have so much power, they abuse it and don't listen to their followers. The people who buy their products.
They are just a large corporate pig now. And the amount of money they've cost me is sickening.
I would recommend staying far away from Apple, as they are only getting worse by the minute.
Unfortunately it's too late for me. I learned on a Mac. I have tried to switch but have been unable.
And they abuse the power they have over their customers. It's pretty disgusting frankly.
iTunes sucks. Take it off your Dock on your phone and replace it with this App, or any others that are well reviewed.
(This helps, because then you don't hit iTunes by habit and you can used to an App that actual works, and doesn't send you to their store FOR NO REASON!)

Bravo!
Quick, easy to use and with a great layout. Miles ahead of the stock player. Being able to scroll through albums by artist without seeing the songs and no longer having those awful artist pictures forced on you is more than worth the price. The filters and subtle colouring around album covers are both nice touches as well. Keep up the good work!

Intuitive and creative
This is a great app. I now only use this app to listen to selections from my large music collections. Being able to browse and sort through albums (titles) or songs by one or more genre, filter artists or by number of songs, and create enqueued lists on the fly is fantastic! All of this under an easily used and clear UI, wonderful! Well done and my thanks!

Works great!
This is exactly what I wanted since iOS 7 came out. It really bugged me how Music app sorted the artists songs by album instead of showing all the songs in alphabetical order. This app is fast, slick and so far I have not come across any bugs.

The Dark Theme....
The filtering on this app is awesome and the dark theme just makes it even more worth it. Best music app so far and much better then the default Apple music app.

Awesome app. Offers useful features the default Music app doesn't like queuing songs.
I actually used this app to propose to my now fiancée. I was able to perfectly time when I wanted certain music to play because of it's unique features.
This is the new way to listen on your mobile device.

Use this, much better than Music
Terrific app. Does all the things a music player should. Basically let’s you use your iPhone like an iPod. Apple has really screwed up Music w iOS7, this is my only music player now. Especially for those who are album oriented (Classical, Jazz, Musicals, or just that way inclined). Close to perfect.

Finally
Finally, my music is organized again. What a relief! I create set lists from hundreds of songs and now I can find them quickly sorted by title. Every feature I wanted was there. It even was able to handle a double disc cd properly while the default ios7 app downloaded and played the 52 tracks in the wrong order. My only request would be an iPad version. Thanks for the app!

Lots of problems
The app looks nice, but has crashed on me multiple times from selecting artists and back swiping from the player rarely works and instead get the zoom in effect of the album art instead. Will continue to use the default music player instead.

Shuffle by genre, filter out one hit wonders, and view your playlist in the "now playing" screen. Simple and elegant execution.

This is a fantastic app! It's clean, easy to use, allows for customization, and has a lot of the functionality that the standard music app lost in iOS 7 (for example, a list of separate albums under artist). The developer is also responsive to feedback. Highly recommended!
