If this App was in the rally, stage 1 abandon!!

App looks nice and seems to function until you press an option to see what you need. And, by the time you go to read the article or see a poorly loaded video, you are bombarded with adds to buy watches or clothing for the Dakar. None of which interest Motorheads as they search for their best rider or drivers.

Also, the “live the race” tab that seems to be located in the sentence I am reading is always in the way. You have to move it every time.

Do some research and spend some time catering to what the fans from a distance want. Maybe ask them what they want...

Awful Again

They will never get this right.

Notifications lead directly ads and no other content, video is useless, no live updates of stage results . . . Why do the organizers make this race so hard to follow? Disappointing.

Failed again

This is another year where they e just can’t get it right. Loads and looks pretty but functionally is horrible. Video is useless and as that’s my main desire I’m out. Deleted. RedBull channel on the Apple Tv and Lyndon Poskitt on YouTube.

Needs better interface

Note to developers:

Thanks for fixing previous issues with sound/links.

Links to videos include google search + video link + app link = average person wouldn't know how to copy that and watch only video!!!

Please fix following:

Why does the user can't search competitors by first name / only by surname??!

Why not put "D" icon beside drive and "C" beside co-drivers/competitors so when user is booking their favourite driver they are not surprised that the other "C" personnel is appearing in favourite list as well?!?

Worse than last year

Living in a country that has no TV coverage of the Dakar this app is the only way to see what's going on. Last year's app was great but this one is not. Scanty news, no interesting behind the scenes trivia and wheres the daily 30minute update videos?? Better than nothing but you could have done sooo much better!

News are flat... No way to sort them and miss important one.

great idea!

there's never enough Dakar coverage on traditional media channels, so I love the idea of getting the app data as it is happening LIVE!! I hate waiting for the lousy half hour daily update from eurosport, which doesn't even begin to answer all my questions about the days stage. the app is mostly working fine for me, not sure why others have complained, perhaps it is because I have not yet updated to ios5? the video links do not work, but that is a small portion of what the app offers, and I can go to the web page on safari for those anyway. there are pages of info on each stage and the competitors rankings are listed by stage, division, and then the overall times to refer to. audio interviews are on there too, the route, and a news feed updates constantly. I hope they continue this app and improve it for next year, can never have enough Dakar! just wish there were more interviews of some of the underdogs, not just frontrunners, and no one seems to mention what happened to the electric car guys? would love an iPad version as I don't have a phone and it's better resolution would do the photos justice....

after update for 2013 videos almost work but then the app freezes and I have to delete and reinstall to get it working again ios5.1 now this year the audio doesn't seem to be available and the video still not working but at least I'm getting updated with the news and I can see the stage today has an almost 600 m drop in no time at all! wow!

Poor.... Very poor

Well I'm glad to see I'm not the only sucker who bought this. Glitchy and incomplete. I've been waiting for an update to fix the glitches, but with only 4 days left I give up. I hope the author is as embarrassed with his rubbish work as I am for being duped!

Even worse than last year's!

We do not get any Dakar coverage here in Canada so I thought this would be netter than nothing. I'll get out my shortwave radio!

A waste of money!!!

Also seems like it wants two stars at least!!! Why is that?
