The Equitable EZClaim app allows Equitable Life group benefits plan members to get faster refunds by submitting claims from their iOS device. Simply sign-in to your Equitable account, complete the interactive form, take a picture of your receipt and submit. It’s that EZ!

Pretty easy

The app is pretty easy to use. It used to be dead simple when we first started using it but there are definitely more steps and since this app is for my spouses plan I have to do this second and I find it a bit confusing and am not sure I am doing it right.

Update is terrible

The update is terrible. Won’t let me proceed even though my practitioner is not on their list. Not my fault your list isn’t updated and now it won’t let me proceed. Tried to phone and their office isn’t open. Let me proceed.

Lacking Therapist’s names

After they started requiring names, not all names are in the system, and I’m not finding a proper way to submit names not in the system yet.

Change for the worse

App used to be extremely easy to use. But they seem to have made it harder to make a claim for benefits. Hopefully they go back to how they used to do it

Version Update not great...

I can appreciate wanting to add security measures, particularly with Biometric capabilities (finger print or face scanning). But the setup request and requirements with the latest update need some finessing. It erased my existing saved password, which I then had to reset. There were also a lot of items that were not intuitive to use like needing to double tap to start filling in a field, or having to enter the phone number with a separate field for the area code, or the menu not being as touch sensitive as you would expect to get to different pages. It took me 10 minutes to submit my claim when it should be 1-2. I’m sure it will be faster next time as I’ve gone through the hoops, but maybe look into making the hoops less of an obstacle? Overall, I like the ease of the app - I just thought some feedback on the update would be appreciated.

EZ Claim so easy to use

Super easy to submit claims- usually takes less than 30 seconds! Love the way I can easily check my amounts remaining to balance my health needs with financial demands of my budget.

Horrible. A web app in native app cloth.

- I would've given 0 stars if I could!

- Suggests using biometrics, asks for password but tapping the text field doesn't bring the keyboard to write!

- Policy number and certification number are all I needed from the app to show the service providers, but these information are buried in some settings menu!

- A completely useless app. Funny it has "easy" word in it's name!

Opening my booklet

Hello, so far the app seems to be doing good, I just cannot open my benefits booklet to check coverage, I open it and when I scroll to the third page the app closes. Any thoughts?

No Apple Wallet Integration?

It’s 2020. Being able to add your digital benefits card to your Apple wallet should be a basic feature. This is a 1-star app based on that limitation alone.

Even Canada Life, who’s app is absolutely atrocious, has this “feature.”

Slow and freezes — use the web instead

I installed this app thinking it would make looking up my benefits easier and it’s been frustrating to use.

- You have to sign in every time — no option to save your password for convenience

- The app freezes on launch

- It’s quicker to get the information on the web

I Forgive You, ManuLife

Geez, I thought ManuLife’s app was bad...

• No Apple Wallet support for the Card.

• “My Benefits” section is lazy at best.

• Ugly, novice Design/Layout.

• No TouchID support?? Come on...

This app reeks of desperate cost-cutting. Really makes me question their ability to insure my health. Not a good look.

Need improvement

After entering banking info it freezes cannot go back or forward. I delete app and download again but no use. Now I m thinking from several days to call them what to do next. Very frustrating!

This app worked very well until the latest update and now it crashes when you take a photo of a receipt and you have to log in every time you open the app.
