A lot of errors. Want to change my hotel loyalty.
My stay history is completely unaccessible from about a month ago. It shows error message, the service is currently unavailable, but this is not coming back forever. I feel suspicious there was an error on my account data, because it impacted on an upcoming stay. Suddenly with this error, one of my upcoming has disappeared suddenly, and went back when the hotel concierge kindly found out the account number again. I made the reservation on the app and it showed up on my upcoming stay all along, but suddenly disappeared at the time I started to face this error. I also contacted to the Marriott support team, but they didn’t fjnd out what was wrong and saying lame things while the hotel concierge sorted it out. This app is a complete nonsense by not fixing users critical issues, no matter how well it viscerlly well designed. Shame on your QA, support, and server, account platform teams.

Be careful if you sign up for promotions in the app because it doesn’t work. I signed up for a promotion only to find out it hadn’t latched and registered. I ended up not getting any of the bonuses.

Cannot login at all, once getting to the verification I receive the code over text and email but after entering it, I’m booted back to the login screen and get a red error that says “error reading data from the server”, impossible to login.

The BonVoy App does not appear to be compatible with IOS Version 17.7.6. It is being inconsistent with its app features. I called BonVoy Support and opened a case with specific details. Your documentation says that your app is supposed to work with anything IOS 16 and higher

Issue with booking multiple rooms
I tried to book 3 rooms, we 6 adults and 4 children and it wouldn’t let me. It kept repeating “to many people per room “. The only way to book was to only put 3 adults and 3 rooms. Which would cause issues when arriving. I tried the 1800 number to book the hotel directly and the continually hung up on me.
I had to go on a second website to actually book it.

We recently stayed in Toronto Airport Hotel and 14 day parking pkg. we definitely will stay again in future a great hotel, clean comfortable beds and pool facilities nice. The underground parking is perfect especially in the winter.

I am experiencing the same errors as others, I try to log into the app, and it stalls out at the 2nd step verification. It won’t send a validation code to either my phone or email, and I can’t get beyond the screen that says it’s requesting a code.

Account Deletion Headache 🤕
Deleting your account with Marriott is far from simple. While Apple requires apps to include a mandatory account deletion button, Marriott’s implementation feels more like an obstacle than a solution.
Instead of a straightforward process, tapping the delete button takes you to an overwhelming wall of text filled with terms and privacy policies—without a clear, direct way to proceed.
A proper deletion process should be as simple as:
1.Tap the Delete Account button.
2.Receive a clear prompt outlining the consequences of deletion.
3.Confirm your decision to proceed or cancel.
Marriott’s approach makes this unnecessarily complicated, which is disappointing and reflects poorly on their service quality.

I’m an Amex Bonvoy member, I booked a one bedroom , it was confirmed & I checked in on-line. When I arrive, I was asked if a studio would d, which I reluctantly agreed to & then they told me that they didi!’t even have a room for me & that they would have to ship me & my wife off to another hotel which I would not agree to as I am travelling with two other couples staying at the same hotel. We’ve stayed at other Marriotts and were treated like royalty & this treatment was disgraceful! They did finally get us another studio. Very, very disappointed with Marriott.Shame on you for treating so badly!!

Don’t call from Canada!!!
The app repeatedly failed and couldn’t process my request. So it said to call customer service. ITS NOT A TOLL FREE NUMBER!!! And it’s not like their service is quick - I waited 20 minutes on hold and they STILL couldn’t process it. Absolutely terrible and no warning that it’s not toll free! I was surprised by a huge long distance charge on my phone bill. I have deleted the app and will no longer try to stay at Mariott properties, I’ll collect points at the other hotel big hotel chain who actually cares enough to provide toll free customer service.

New version of app looks cheap
The new version of the app released looks like it is a discount version of the last app. The last version was wonderful, simplistic, and refreshing. This one is harder to navigate, less welcoming, and less enticing. Still better than Hilton app but has the experience of booking into the Best Western. Risky move for a brand that was drawing a consumer base solely because of its app experience

Fantastic way to have your personal data stolen
Lots of apps out there promise shoddy security, indifference to privacy and prioritizing corporate convenience over protection of personal data, but few deliver like Marriott! With almost half a billion users’ info now stolen over the course of years, Marriott has shown it takes the job of being careless with customer data seriously. Way to go, Marriott! And thanks for letting thieves get hold of my account info!
