Handy app, but need better room pictures and more flexibility when booking multiple rooms

It is very handy to be able to book hotel stays through this app. Easy to search for a hotel and rooms. Signed in to my rewards membership, it has all my info so no need to enter it all. Quick and so simple. And I can keep track of my points. Only two complaints:

1. When I need to book two rooms, why can I not select two different types of rooms and do it in one transaction. It only lets you select two of the same type of room. That doesn’t always work for us, so it forces me to go through the process twice and make two separate transactions.

2. The room pictures for the hotel I selected were almost nonexistent. The same picture of the bathroom for all of them. Fortunately, I had looked at the website on my desktop previously, so I knew what the rooms looked like. If I had only been using the app then the lack of pictures would have turned me away.

I’ve found the app quite useful in most ways. My one main concern is the photos, they are quite good but you sometimes have to scroll through over a hundred to see everything. It would also be nice if it was easier to see more photos of the type of room you are considering.

Marriott hotels are always my pick for my stays away from home...and believe me, there are many.

As a CEO of a large organization, I value service to customers and Marriott is the top of the class. They look after their properties and believe that the employees make a difference to customer service. Marriott looks after the employees so they can look after us...a great philosophy for any business entity. And do they ever...as a Titanium member, I always feel like I have a home away from home at any of my stays in Marriott properties across North America. I have talked to many of the Marriott staff and never had one person say anything negative about the JW Marriott company. Looking after employees and focussing on customer service....it’s a big part of the difference between good and great. Well done!

Achieved gold elite by staying 25 nights in one year. We’re not business travelers... vacationing on our own dime. That’s a lot of brand loyalty for nothing. Maybe this review is irrelevant because I’m not discussing the merits of the app in particular (it actually functions OK), but when it comes down to it, Bonvoy is a waste of time. Many instances we could have booked a better/cheaper hotel but we opted to support Marriott hotels to achieve points and status... but for what? We earned gold elite after 25 nights... and have checked into 3 hotels since. Nobody cared... nobody mentioned it, nobody offered an upgrade, and when we mentioned the offerings we’re apparently entitled to, we get stared at like we have two heads. That’s all I got. FIX BONVOY!

The app doesn’t have Canada as a country, which makes it impossible to finish any registration. The app was not intuitive on any level. I received an email inviting me to login and check in now at the hotel I had booked, not possible! Very disappointing!
