Flawed, but useful
As parking apps go, it works. The UI is clean, the map features helpful, and the steps to parking straightforward. I dropped two stars for two specific reasons:
1) You cannot amend a parking booking once you’ve paid. So if i think i need an hour, pay for an hour, and then leave after 30 minutes, i still pay for an hour. There’s no reason for this. You should be able amend your parking, or at least reserve that as credits on your account to put towards your next parking spot.
2) in the last year-ish, ever few parking sessions as i go to pay, i get a pop-up asking me to give the app my phone number for sms reminders. When i hit “not now” the field for the phone number turns red and the app will not progress to payment. I need to fully close the app and then reopen it and start my parking session over from the start. This is an egregious error, if a big, and a terrible design choice if not.

Sucks! Never get a card added
Very lengthy process just to pay parking! Pay as a guest is malfunctioned. Then you register, after lengthy process, you get to add a card for payment. All you get is error message. We tried different phones, different cards. Never worked. 15min wasted! Your App sucks!!!!!!! A simple webpage could get the job done, why bother such a useless App?????

No Support
They provide absolutely no support and only refer you to 311 and to resolve any issues with the city.
They don’t honour any local pricing and charge more than the machines. Do not use.

Lack of flexibility to fix errors
I accidentally paid for parking with the wrong license plate and there’s no way to amend that so I had to pay for parking twice . That really sucks.

I contacted the customer service and after 8 hours still I am still waiting for some help , got a message that they received the request but since then total silence.
This is not acceptable from a customer service department .

The City of Vancouver should be refunding the unused minutes, for parking when you vacate a spot. The technology is there, but use it for their gains over the morality and fair business practices. App is slow and dumb - now it makes sense

Extorting CarShare users!
Citizens of Winnipeg are forced to use this app. It is what it is, but recently they updated it to have a limit of only five cars. They also removed the notes from the list of cars so if you have custom notes on your cars, you can’t use that to identify them. You just have the plate.
The worst part is if you want to add more than five cars you need to PAY and there’s no option for non-business users. You require business information like a GST number to sign up for the account so even if I wanted to be extorted by this company to add the cars I need to add I am not able to.
So now we have to remove and delete cars every time we rent one and want to park it downtown.
Customer support just copy pastes the same canned response.
EDIT: Their tone deaf reply is exactly what I mean.
I’m not paying and I can’t? So this change doesn’t even allow me to support your ‘operational sustainability’
I just pay at the machine now, and you get zero. It’s quicker than shuffling cars around so the app is now LESS convenient option even in the winter.

Park by map view no longer works
I used to love this app but it no longer allows me to select a street and pay for parking. I now have to look for the street number instead of being able to select the street from the app map view.
Worked great before for Winnipeg, is basically useless now - could just pay using the meter since I have to look for the parking code there anyways.

Screwed Up My Phone
The parking meter at the local hospital wasn’t working so I was forced to download this app to avoid being ticketed. The gentleman behind me in line did warn me he had issues with this app but I didn’t have any choice. It was either use the app or get ticketed. The minute I loaded the app and paid for my parking, my phone started acting up. It was freezing up, my camera stopped working, my phone kept shutting down. I deleted the app as soon as I was done with it but the issues continue. There is no question it was this app. I don’t know what it’s done but my phone is messed up.

Didn’t do what it says on the tin
App description says it has native notifications and/or SMS notifications. SMS notifications have not been arriving to my phone since last summer, despite having sent through a proper confirmation of my phone number recently, and there is no option to turn on native notifications. either in the app or in iPhone notification settings. I have received tickets as a result of these advertised features not functioning. parking authority blames the app company and will not discuss remedies whatsoever. Developer has not responded to my inquiries. One star

Relied on notifications but suddenly stopped working
For the past 2+ years of using this app, I relied on notifications on to notify me when parking is nearing expiration so that I can extend my parking. My most recent parking sessions I did not receive a notification and I received a ticket. After contacting customer service, they mention that notifications are not guaranteed. I don’t believe this is surfaced to the user high enough, and now being left to pay the ticket has left a sour taste in my mouth.

Application payment advice didn’t match meter
I entered meter location into app on a Saturday. Application said there was a 2-hour time limit, whereas sign said 4 hour limit on Saturdays. I paid for 30 minutes through app. Disappointed to find that physical meter station provided notice that there was 2 hour free parking on Saturdays. Therefore wasted my money and time because info in app did not match requirements on meter station. Next time I will not trust that the information provided in app is correct compared to signage and information on meter station. Poor data integrity!
