comprehensive outdoor recreation guide around.
The Guide app easily takes you from your backdoor to hundreds of great outdoor recreation
sites across Alberta’s big backyard. Read property profiles, pinpoint locations, find important
site updates and local weather conditions—all from the palm of your hand. Get the app, get out
and get exploring!

The fine print
Check the Guide carefully before planning your trip. Please ensure you consult a county or
municipal landowner map to verify the location of the conservation site and double check that
you are entering onto the appropriate property.
While there is no fee to access these conservation sites, all we ask is that you value and respect
the land as much as we do. The conservation sites identified in this guide are either private
lands owned by Alberta Conservation Association or our conservation partners (see the
Partners listed for each site), or public lands that are managed by Alberta Conservation
Association on behalf of the Crown; all are available for public use.
A majority of conservation sites in the guide require no permission to access and allow only
non-motorized recreational activities including hunting, fishing, hiking, bird watching and
photography. However, please be aware that some of the conservation sites listed do have
restrictions on permitted activities or require permission before you enter onto the site.

Needs work
I thought this would be a great app for traveling rural Alberta but I couldn't get anything to work on my iPhone 6.. two stars are for the concept only!!

Great to useless
The app received a huge upgrade earlier this year making it very useful to find the actual location of conservation areas, however the current version brings up "0" sites no matter what I've tried

This doesn't work!!
I upgraded and now the app opens to a blank page and the only thing I can see are the ad bars at the top of the page!
Can I get the old app back?!!?

New Update Doesn't Work
Just downloaded the new update and it only loads a white screen.

Hate the new upgrade
Used to love this app. Now it's crap. No back button, so you have to start your search over every time - grid view is absolutely useless when out driving to places as you have to leave the app to map roads, and if you try to search just hunting and then tap the grid it brings up everything instead of just hunting sites. then when you open the grid the page is only half the size as my iPad, the rest is white. Not enough options and not user friendly.

Upgrade ruined app
Since upgrading this app it opens to a white screen. If you could fix this it is absolutely a five star app. Quick it's hunting season.

I guess it is true that we are the forgotten part of the province. I fish this region regularly and just installed the app only to find that when searching for fishing in all areas that not one of the lakes around this area show up in the list. Maybe good for people living in other areas of AB. but a waste of space on the phone if u live in medicine hat

Well put together, easy to use, and full of information. The app includes critical information such as access restrictions, partner and contact information -- helps to keep you legal while looking for new places to explore and hunt.
