Has become unreliable
This used to be my favourite offline map app for travelling, but recently (2020) it has become unusable. These days, as I zoom into the map, I often lose detail instead of seeing more. Often streets are only partially displayed. I've removed and redownloaded maps, but it doesn't seem to help. So fed up i feel the need to switch to another app. Sad!

Good maps for hiking
CityMaps2Go has a variety of hiking trail maps, which surprised me based on the name of the app. The maps are mostly good, and they help with finding the way on hikes in the mountains. There have been a few instances of the map showing a path where there definitely is no trail (e.g. off a cliff), but the trail is pretty close to where the map shows. This could be a GPS inaccuracy and not necessarily the fault of the app. This is a useful app as long as you are aware of your surroundings, research your route in advance, and do not go where it is unsafe just because the map says to (as with any map or trail app). This is my preferred app for hiking in Alberta.

Problem!
I like this app very much,but recently I encountered a problem.My Vancouver map is expired.As a result, I cannot use offline maps. I re-download the app,I updated the map ,i purchased the premium version, all those didn’t work.

Worst security
Just got an email about the fact that their servers were compromised. All these companies don’t take a proactive stance on security and just sit back and wait to be violated at our expense.

Great App!
I like the offline function and the top highlight of the city you're in.
I'd like to be able to follow directions from A to B within the app. "Here" App has this tool (3D) offline and it's free!

Greatest travel app
I travel quite a bit for work in the airline industry, I use Ulmon everywhere. I plug in my destinations for the day and I am sure to get to every site without any issues thanks to this app. I recommend it to all my friends and colleagues. I no longer use any other maps.

Difficult to access downloaded maps. Looks to be a complete waste of money.

Fantastic
I have used this app in Mexico, Costa Rica and now Thailand and it just gets better every time I use it. We were hiking on Koh Phi Phi in Thailand and this app had the hiking trail. We knew exactly where we were and never got lost.

Great when you’re offline
Not always able to get wifi or cell service when you’re travelling, and Ulmon lets you pack up ahead of time and let’s you stop fretting about long, slow connections if and when you have access.

Voyage à Paris
Ce voyage a été préparé deux semaines avant notre départ.
Cette application nous a permis de voyager avant d’être sur place. Une description pertinente de chacun des lieux à visiter nous a été très utile. Chacun de ces lieux que vous choisissez se placent, par le symbole d’une étoile, automatiquement sur la carte. Vous pouvez, par la suite, en cliquant sur chacune de vos étoiles, connaître le temps à pieds pour se rendre d’un lieu à l’autre. Donc, très facile de bâtir son itinéraire à l’avance ou sur place.
Ç’a été pour nous un outil très efficace. Nous avons passé une semaine à Paris et avons visiter 40 magnifiques lieux durant ce temps. Extraordinaire! Non! Notre objectif a été atteint. Toutes nos étoiles choisis ont brillé chacun leur tour.
Un outil de voyage que je conseille fortement à tous.

Works well offline most of the time
I have been using this app for several years and I trust it as my go to map. I encourage you to pay the premium fee as it is well worth the value you get. Occasionally, I can’t use the offline but I am not sure why. I suspect it is because I did not download the right map. It would be useful if this app showed you the province or state you are in especially in exotic countries and in Europe. I rate it a 4.5 but I had to choose 5 to be fair.

Love it but free version is very cheap
Love that app and I've been using it in all my trip. But I guess they recently changed and now the free version allows only one offline map... pretty cheap. The paid version are overly expensive I find. Very sad.

Life saver
My phone would not accept a SIM card I purchased in Thailand. Luckily I had pre-downloaded the full map for Thailand. While my phone is in airplane mode, CityMaps2Go allows me to have access to an interactive map that shows my position at all times.
It also shows local places of interest for me. Highly recommend this app.

Easy App!!
Was travelling in USA without my cell service so this app was fantastic to work with off line. I save all my destinations/activities to a trip folder and added notes for address and phone number. Stars light up the map making the trip so much easier.

Best map app for travel
I’ve used this for several years and found it to be the best map app for travelling other cities or countries. You can download maps and other info for free over wifi so you don’t need to use cellular data when out and about. One of the best even if you have free data. Easy to put in pins for your hotel and places of interest. Use it all the time. Thanks!
