Description

MonkeyMote gives you a full-fledged wireless music remote control for your iPhone or iPod touch. It supports several popular media players:
• Winamp
• MediaMonkey
• JRiver Media Center
• AIMP
The app connects to your Windows PC via your WiFi network and allows you to view information about currently playing tracks and control every important playback feature.

Cannot view all library and connection drops

I cannot view all my music library, only the current play list.
Every time the phone lock and when I open again it reconnects and many times the connection cannot be reestablish again making the up unusable

Lacking pathetically in comparison to foobar version

This badly needs to have a FOLDER BROWSE option like the foobar2000 monkeymote. How hard is that to do after all these years??? And it seems as if foobar is still the superior software vs jriver because of this lack of features in comparison to the other app. It only works well when you've got all of your metadata for all of your music files entered in properly. About half my music I've just not fixed the metadata yet and it's absolutely impossible to find what I want to play sometimes even though I know I've imported the files in jriver.

Best Winamp remote app

Over the span of 2 iOS generations most apps become sidelined by its developer, Martin Tofall stays true to its loyal remote app fans, offering continuous updates to its app since its inception.
The app gets new features, quick fixes and compatibility updates that is much needed in the iOS developer community.
I don't write reviews often, but I had to write one for this app. Thumbs up Martin.

More useful than a barrel of...

Perfect app. Probably the best app purchase I've made, particularly for the amount I use it to control Winamp. Great dev support and functionality. Had an issue, sent the devs a message via Facebook and had a reply and fix in about an hour.

Easy to use for lazy buggers like me!!

I've downloaded this app about 3 weeks ago and kept playing with it since. I use it to remotely control JRiver on my laptop for music playing only. This is a great app and it does what has to do. You can scroll down your albums, artists, genre, etc.... There are some playlists also that you can have fun with, create your own.... etc. You can even remove songs that you do not want in the playlist on the fly.
A very well done job and something I appreciate every day of my life! Highly recommended!

One of the best remote music app available, Highly recommended!

Excellent app for Winamp lovers, that are looking for a way to control Winamp remotely. Able to browse through and select saved playlists. Also can enqueue music and browse through all my music and playlists on my laptop, very useful only if you add a selected media folder to Winamp Media Library, easy to do. This is exactly what I needed for connecting my laptop to a stereo or home theatre and can control the music from anywhere in the house or club and not be restricted on running back and forth from the dance floor to change or add songs or edit playlists. Amazingly simple and easy to use. You will have a eureeka moment when you host a party and control everything from your iTouch, I have made many believers out of Winamp and this app makes it even better.

Very basic, somewhat lacking key features.

After reading review of people who purchased the app and loved it I thought I'd give it a shot. The ONLY thing you can do is add to a playlist OR select from a premade one, NOT one you made in winamp, those are not accessible. The browsing system they show you is only avail to add to a new playlist only held in the remote. Give me direct browsing options and this app gets FIVE STARS!
Very speedy interface, very responsive. quick to connect and easy on the eyes too... Too bad it's missing the MOST important key feature.

Just Works!

This app does what it says it will do.. I have never had it not connect to my media pc. It will also let you add songs to your playlist on the fly. (provided you pointed winamp's library to your music folder). Very well done!
