Hi there developer! I would be more than happy to help Beta test the app if you would like to help make it more accessible for the blind and visually impaired. As it is right now, I use my iPhone 15 Pro and voiceover which is the built-in screen reader for the blind. It reads out loud text, buttons, and other things to help me navigate and use apps. However if it is not coded correctly then there is nothing for the technology to work with. I can launch the app, but then it seems to give me only few options of shows to watch before giving up halfway through. Or it just gives me a button that says image which I believe it’s showing the name of the show. I then also get stuck in a loop where it gives me a list of 30+ episodes of a series even though I haven’t clicked on the show and I’m trying to get to the next item in the list. all in all I cannot use the app at all, so I would like to see a complete rework of it so that people who are visually impaired and blind can have equal access to entertainment. Thank you!

As of this date, Feb 23, 2024, the Global TV app in Apple TV (tvOS 17.3) no longer launches.

It just hangs with the word “Loading…” and the dreaded forever spinning circle.

It’s been like this for many weeks now.

And that’s even after updating the app today to the latest version (2.6.4). As well as even after restarting AppleTV and then re-launching the Global TV app.

Read reviews on Reddit many state same issue - can’t stream an episode of any series because after first ad the picture returns to main menu or just grey screen. I get it - free apps needs ads. But the amount this app has is ridiculous. It doesn't save where I left off, so when I need to fast forward, I need to watch 4 ads. Then when I realized I forwarded to the wrong place, I need to watch ads again. If I want to rewind to a part right before ads are scheduled, I need to watch the ads AGAIN after having just watched them less than 30 seconds ago. And if you're going to serve ads, at least give them some variety. Watching the same 4 ads multiple times in an hour (and even more when binging a show) just makes it all the more annoying.

The app also doesn't stream properly on the older Chromecast. If I need to fast forward to a certain place, it plays all the ads, then stops working.

I have the newest iphone, lots of storage and great wifi…. This app constantly glitches. I have never gotten through a full episode without something going wrong - I’m either restarting it because it will stop loading, the same 5 seconds of an commercial playing over and over, it will just stop loading completely and won’t stop buffering, or it will constantly pause for no reason. One of the worst apps I’ve ever tried to use. Doesn’t work for extended periods (just never ending loading screens), clunky, doesn’t update with new content, always glitching or resetting screens. I think global is 5 years behind everyone else on user functionality and quality. Just all around bad.

Finding where you left off in a show

Love the app. But doesn't always start a show right where you left off. And having to go thru a ton of commercials just to find your place, is really annoying. It should allow 10 seconds before a commercial starts up again when forwarding thru and trying to find where you left off.

Love having the ability to watch some of my favourite global shows when I want, but the commercials are ear-drum-breaking! Why is such volume necessary?! All this encourages is that I mute my device volume (and therefore don't hear the ad your sponsors are paying you for). Ad volume should be equivalent to show volume; the disparity is ridiculous!
