Payment method rejection issues.
My payment method is being rejected. Also charging 5$ when the coupon says “Buy one get one Free” is scummy. Everyone should know by now that Cineplex is a greedy company, by their lawsuits, or them charging you $1.50 to book online.

Concession Stand
The only thing that is not good about the app is I was unable to make it to my movie due to my movie partner falling ill before the show. And I was not able to cancel my concession stand pre-order. When I called Cineplex Odeon customer service, I was told I cannot have my money returned.

Dont get me wrong, the app is so nice and smooth now compared to last year. Infact I reserve and book all my tickets on here rather than at the counter
Dropped a star because:
- There is actually no way to get refunds/process cancellations in terms of changes in anyone’s plan.
- Not all the food items are listed per theater which would make it more sick!

Good app…but really, Ads?
App is really good. Lets me do all I wanted to and more. Only reason I give 4 stars instead of 5 is because it makes you watch an ad for one movie, whilst before watching a trailer. Really guys? Come on! I’m in your movie app watching trailers, do you really need to show me adverts for other trailers?

I can never log in to the app anymore. It says it might be an update issue but the app is up to date. I’ve tried deleting and redownloading. Restarting my phone, changing the password. Nothing works.

Couldn’t subscribe to CineClub
Spent the past 10 minutes trying to subscribe to CineClub. Didn’t allow me to add my cc. Thank you for making me realize I’m better off with Torrents. Far cheaper than going to an overpriced Cineplex. Thank your app programmers for their horrible work. I got to save myself $109 for the next year.
Imagine living in 2025 and you can’t add a payment on an app🤦🏻♂️ every other app I use works…flawless! Except for this app. Time to find new programmers.

The app is inaccesible, the other day we wanted to watch the minecraft movie. There was 4 movies scheduled for the day, then we checked back and there was only 3 movies!
That was weird as hell, then we checked back and only two movies…
By the time we reached the cinema there was no movie :( so disappointing.
Idk if it's app issue or system issue but definelty not normal!

Phone number is the only option for 2FA
Only site I’ve ever used where you can’t use Microsoft authenticator, a second email, or at least security questions or an opt out. Not everyone has a permanent phone number and many people are aware of how unsafe it is to give your phone number to websites and apps.

I need to give you my phone number to buy a movie ticket. Really? Why? WHY?!?!
My phone number is none of your business, Cineplex. And one shouldn’t even use a phone during the movie. Then you will get hacked (again) and my phone number will be on the internet.
You should allow verification via another email. For that matter, why do I need an account in the first place (unless I want one) just to buy a movie ticket. All this hassle, think I would prefer to stay home and wait for the movie to get to home rental.

I’ve always used this app, it’s always been pretty simple and basic - gets the job done but now it’s way more aesthetically satisfying and I really like the new layout and feel of how it’s been overhauled.
