Do not care for your format

Your format is very different from all other car mag formats, and I really do not like it.

I wish you would change to the format Road & Track, and Car & Driver use, which is like reading a hard copy new stand issue.

Missing search function

Great app overall. Easy to read and fast. I agree with the previous user review. I really miss the search function from the older version of the app. I can't find some older articles of a specific car I like anymore. Please bring back the search function.

Evo

The app works as advertised. There should be a search function that let you search on make and model on all past issues. The previous version allowed for that. Would be a 4 or 5 star app if not for that.

New app rarely works

Rarely works and takes away the pleasure of reading this magazine offline. Evo was the pinnacle of online mags before. The content is still the best, but the app is deeply flawed.

Got to be kidding me. How can you put banner ads on this app. It totally destroyed it.

Can't access content, app full of bugs.

I often have to delete this app and reinstall it when content won't load, the last time I did this it stopped recognising my active subscription, so I can no longer access anything. I have been back and forth with Customer service over 2 weeks (and counting) with no resolution. After 12 years subscribing I think this app will force me to cancel. I just hope I can get my content for the remaining 10 months I have already paid for.

A step back

Compared to the old format where it was like getting the actual magazine and flipping through it this is now a disjointed Flipboard like exercise without the same feel of quality and connected content. I won't be re-knewing

I love EVO, but the app is terrible since the big update

Love the magazine, used to love it on iPad because it was like the magazine, but with a couple of videos easily accessed from in the articles. Layout made sense.

Since the update it is pretty much unreadable. I've cancelled my subscription. Hope the old format returns some day. I'd have paid more if I had to in order to keep the old format.

Terrible app

I will not be renewing my annual subscription. The new app is terrible. And my past paid issues, which are now only PDFs, won't all download, and are painfully slow to access. What were you thinking?!

Evo app

This app was a big disappointment! First and foremost in this app loading stories is painfully slow...if they load at all...I will not renew my digital subscription when it comes up.... EVO listen up, your first kick at the digital mag over a year ago was spot on IMO . Magazine feel with a little extra ie. video and such.

A Hamilton

I'm not sure the changes to the way in which the 'magazine' is updated works as well as when it was issued in full on a monthly basis. It now comes out in sections, every few days, but I don't seem to get all of the items that used to appear on the monthly cycle. In addition, I reckon the paper magazine is actually better overall. Not sure I will renew the iPad version when it comes up.

Worst upgrade ever

Since offering the new updated version of their iPad/IPhone App, Evo has destroyed their magazine. I subscribe to their sister publication Octane, and other car magazines, but none of them have the problems now associated with the Evo Mag App. its constantly quitting, or popping back to the beginning of the article in mid-read. I am a subscriber but will no longer renew. I have complained to their tech support but the response is that they can’t find the problem I’ve complained about. Well, in that case they can’t have my support anymore. Today I installed their update, and again right away while reading an article about their Coty Awards, their App quit. Enough is enough, Evo Magazine took a great read and made it irritating

Keep the print edition!

I'm giving one star in comparison with the dead trees paper magazine - which I read digitally on the ipad already (dead electrons?).

The app layout is too chaotic for me - do I swipe down or across? Read an article and close the app and you've no idea where you left off. I guess I'm just too analogue to appreciate this.

Also, nowhere has it been made clear what the future of the monthly is. If it's being abandoned in favour of this app, then I'm done with Evo. Even moreso with Harry gone!

Do not like the new layout!

Long time evo reader and fan - I've moved from mags to iPad and been reading on the iPad for nearly two years now.

I'm really not liking their new layout. Seems like a fine idea that content comes in often in a stream format, but I have to say it feels like there's less content than before.

I think I really just preferred the magazine style, even though the files were huge.

Five stars for the quality of content, two stars for the app design...

Brilliant app

Congrats guys, this is one of the most beautiful magazine apps I've ever seen. Very cool. Nice big photos & easy to read. Works great too. Don't see what the one-star people are complaining about, maybe they just don't like change. Change is good. It's the same stories as the print magazine anyway, just with a much better layout to read on ipads/iphones.

Stay away

Downloaded the app and paid for 12 months subscription. It's been a week now, I still haven't received a password and I still don't have access to any issues. Technical support took 5 days to reply and they haven't adressed the issue.

I've asked for a full refund. Stay away from this awful app / subscription.

Subscription Problems

This is a horribly convoluted app - very user-hostile and very un-Mac-like. Trying to retrieve a password is impossible! The support page tells you to go to the cog in the corner to enter your account information, but NO such field exists! The Evo help page says the password is 3 letters and a number and another 3 letters and a number and should be on your correspondence from them BUT IS NOT! They say there is a subs info number on all correspondence but THERE IS NOT! I tried deleting the app, rebooting my iPad, then downloading it again, but to no avail!

PLEASE SOMEONE HELP! I FEEL LIKE I AM IN DIGITAL HELL!

Still no access to my subscription

Purchased two days ago (paid for 12 months) and still can't access my subscription. There is an issue, according to support line, but no timeframe for resolution. Just a heads up to others that may consider purchasing via Newsstand.

Amazing!

As a long time evo subscriber I have been looking forward to this app. Congrats to the evo staff for making this happen. Brilliant use of the tech. My hats off to everyone involved. Definitely looking forward to the next issue.
