Can’t remote start now
Mid January 2026 forced to update app now I can’t use app to remote start 2025 envista. Obviously a glitch but please fix. It’s -26 Celsius where I am right now

Wasted time
I used the app to make a first-time appointment with my dealer. A 25-minute highway drive. I arrive, no appointment. “The app doesn’t work,” I’m told. “Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn’t.” How am I supposed to know that? Waste of time and gas. Frustrated.

It would be nice if a person could schedule a remote start and also if the app displayed if the vehicle was parked/off or on.

App displaying only half my vehicle
I loveeee the my Buick app but it’s been only displaying half my car lately and I don’t know how to troubleshoot it. I updated the app and tried to sign in and out but nothing has changed. I’m not sure if this is a bug but it’d be much appreciated if someone could look into it!

The app won't update. It still has the same data from when I first purchased the vehicle.

Blank page at log in
No longer able to use app. It asks me to log in, and when I hit the button it just goes to a blank page. No log in screen appears. The app is totally unusable. Garbage. Don’t they test these things before they release them. Come on engineers, you can do better!!

This app is completely unreliable and useless, you may as well be telling people at the dealership that remote start through the app is unavailable because it never works. Embarrassing because Ford’s app works perfectly every time, so it’s possibly to make it usable and reliable but GM seems to not care?

I have not been able to reconnect my vehicle to the app, since it updates in FALL 2024, the support team is less than helpful to this garbage app, only give me numbers to contact, that are only available during my working hours, unless I want to get up at 3;30 in the morning in my time zone.

Horrible App
We pay for the onstar service yet can still not use the app and it’s been months. The app will not update the vehicle stats as it used to. I’ve called multiple times and the same trouble shooting options do not work which is what I keep telling them. They apply fixed almost bi-weekly but never a fix for this issue.
Additionally, they won’t even display this comment as I’ve commented in the past to no avail.

Unreliable - As Expected
GM’s OnStar apps were glitchy and unreliable 15 years ago. GM has used the time since then to…. - Do absolutely nothing! Why improve a poorly functioning app when you have no competition?
All kinds of fancy gizmos offered, too bad the app has no idea if my vehicle is running or not, and too bad you need to log in with your user name, password and a round of two factor authentication every third time you use the app, too bad you get the something went wrong try again message Avery other time you use the app. It is a nice app if you can overlook the fact that it’s a 50/50 shot if it will work the next time you try to use it. Disappointed but not surprised. 🫤

App keeps saying my vehicle is started when it’s not. Now I always have to sign out and sign back in. I’ve deleted the app and redownloaded, phone is running on current iOS. Super annoying

iOS 18 Update Removed Apple Watch!
With the latest updates they removed Apple Watch support.
It was very convenient to have remote start and other features quickly available.
This was removed without even a mention in the change notes.

Great overall
Very slick, dark appearance and presentation of useful information, including tire pressure, estimated range remaining, fuel efficiency, and oil life. One suggestion: Canadians use km for distance and L/100 km for fuel efficiency, but we almost always still use PSI for tire pressure. There should be separate checkboxes for these three measures so that users can fine-tune their unit preferences under Settings > Units of Measure.

Doesn’t work.
OnStar can’t figure out why the app isn’t working. I’ve spoken to at least a half a dozen people who have helped me “troubleshoot” the possible reasons it’s not working. Sign out of the app, uninstall the app, turn off the phone for 2 min before reinstalling, etc. nothing works. Very frustrating.

Connection issues
Have had connection issues with this app after the last update. Hit the refresh button countless times and won’t update the status of my car. Tried My Cadillac app and had the same problem there as well.

They’ve made the app worse
It was a 4-5 star app but one of my fave features was being able to see my mpg per trip and compare it to previous trips. That seems to have been completely removed for reasons I can’t fathom. Not I can only see my lifetime average mpg which is virtually useless. They’ve also moved the trip stats into an Onstar section. You have to agree to their terms to see the data — presumably so they can sell it as grouped data or otherwise to third parties. Terrible move and a much worse app.

Latest Update Not Working
Buick was doing so well with this app…until their last one which has rendered the vehicle stats useless. Lock/unlock still works, but mileage and other diagnostics remain stuck at the pre-update level. Turned off my phone and started up again does nothing. Delete and reload the app again does nothing. Better QA is needed before releasing new updates. For what is being paid, GM MUST do better
