Version 1.2.4
I've used this app and I think that this app, has actually helped me learn my own language by making it more accessible to me. Meaning that I D ok by need to find an elder or someone who speaks Cree fluently to ask questions about basic words. The only downfall of this app is that even though your learning basic words, it's still hard to put sentences together because the words change a lot. But overall great app. I love it.

Nothing good for woodland cree

Version 1.2.4
It doesn't tell you what dialect the translated word is or from, so there's just a bunch of words all spelt differently. Some words are actually incorrect. They don't have all dialects (Northern & Southern Plains, Swampy, and Woodland).

I appreciate all the work that went into the making of this app. It has helped me in many ways reclaim my original and first language, the nehiyaw language. hiyhiy! Jaqueline.

Version 1.2.1
Not great some words dead on most not, sekwin is the budding season or melting time as defined , Arok is a monyas so he white man'd it up with its definition , but if you used half the words with a natural Cree speaking person they wouldn't understand you , good for university or city living not for reserve or traditional events. On the other hand this is just another right man making money off the Indians and doing it poorly, Alberta Cree is mainly used which is a poor template since it is a new Cree , after chief Piapot was attacked and soon retaliated the Cree's pushed into mid and northern alberta otherwise Sask Cree should be more dominate in any learning or this app should more accurately point out it is mainly for Alberta Cree and not meant for Sask/plains Cree people upper and mid since southern has had a broader line drain after the residential schools started the language began to change with greater incoherence.

Excellent App!

The auto complete feature in the search is great for when you're not quite sure how a word is spelled in SRO.👍👍

Version 1.2.1
If the program crashes when you try to look up a word, don't give up! Delete it and reinstall.
This app includes (and cites) affixes and vocabulary words from multiple reputable sources, some of which are rare and/or expensive. It has a lot of long words that are sentences in themselves. Some "controversial" words I know to be in the original material (e.g. "bisexual") are missing, but I'm not sure if this is bowdlerization or just abridgement. Duplicates between sources have not been removed, which leads to a bit of clutter and some inconsistency, but also allows crosschecking. Every word is given with its spelling in latin and syllabic, plus there is a separate section that shows the Cree syllabics extra clearly, with audio pronunciation. Unfortunately a few of the sounds files seem to be missing, as not all the sounds are pronounced. The symbols representing final consonants aren't pronounced, but they make the same sounds as the consonant in the same row.
But for goodness sake, if you're interested enough in Cree to be reading this review, download this app. It's only going to help you.

Wow! Great resource!

Version 1.2.1
I had faint hopes of finding a resource for studying Cree in the App Store at all, however this one exceeded all my expectations for one! I'm pleased that such an application exists, and am delighted by the one I found. Terrific work, thanks very much for investing the time and energy. I hope to be able to talk others into looking it up, too.
