What's New in Version 5.1
We have revised and updated all of the app’s content, as well as adding five new grape varieties. We have also added a new FAQ section to answer your questions on various subjects, for example, “How do I sync my wines across devices?” This section gives you all of the information you need to get the most from the app. Here’s a summary of the update:
• All content revised and updated.
• Five new grape varieties – Jacquère (Crisp), Ribolla Gialla (Crisp), Nerello Mascalese (Smooth), Refosco (Smooth) and Baga (Powerful).

Great way to record your wines
This is a lovely wine app. It's packed with useful info, you'll learn a lot and it's a great way to record your wines. It also works off-line and looks great on the iPad (syncs nicely with iPhone). Very pleased with the full version.

Best wine food pairing app around. Learn about region of origin and pair great food with great wine. You won't regret the full version. I recommend this app to customers all the time.

Valuable wine resource
This app has thought me so much and greatly increased my enjoyment of wine. It has also introduced me to some fantastic grape varieties, many of which are now amongst my favorites. Its a very valuable wine resource.

Great work of synthesis
I use this App almost every time I open a new bottle. I find in there a vast amount of information that supplement my wine tasting. Very thorough and great work of synthesis for wine tasters.

Pocket Wine
I'm super disappointed :( I paid $3.99 for this App. It crashes EVERY TIME I click on anything other then my tastes. I was hoping to learn a thing or two about wine. Instead it seems I learned just because I pay for it does not mean its going to work. Jan. 4 2013. Still waiting on a response to my email. App still crashes. Do not pay for this. You will regret it.

Use everyday
This app is fantastic, and certainly one I would pay for. I look forward to the addition of Canadian wine varietals, and popular hybrids - but still use this app on a daily basis.

Great info. Could use one more feature
I am an avid wine drinker and actually found this app useful and informative. A feature that would be nice is a place where I could inventory the wines I have tried with some link back to the grape, country, or taste. There is a note section but not overly useful.

This is a great app for learning about wines and it even has a fun test to see what your own tastes are. It would be a little nicer if you could save wines you've tried and enjoy for future reference, like a wine log.

Boring and nothing special
I'd like more than a summary of the wikipedia page on wine. How about a camera function in order to categorize and classify previously tasted wines via pictures, a search function? Plain vague basics are not an 'application'. This is not a tool in any way, it's an intro book -read apps content once, you'll know the stuff, and you can delete it

My favorite app!!
This is my favorite app and one of the best apps I know. This app works like a dictionary for so many kinds & types if wine I can find!! I have been learning a lot from this app with different types of grapes and regions, taste, style, and pronunciation of grapes etc etc. The description is nicely written, too. Also, the other helpful thing about this app is that every type of wine has suggestion of dishes / food. It helped me a lot when I was making dinner for my guests the other day. Thank you for the great app! :-)

Great for building your wine knowledge
This app is exactly what I needed given that I knew what "flavours" of wine I tended to like but not how to locate those same flavours when trying to select wine at a store or restaurant. The app works great (just watch the video at the dev's website) and the info is written very clearly and accessibly. I even sent a question for the dev and they wrote back very soon with considered, clear, polite responses. I'm impressed.

Great app for all wine-lovers
This app is fantastic for all people, from the wine connoisseur to the beginner. Descriptions are easy to understand yet omit no important details. Love the mini-quiz to tell you what wine suits your taste. Large variety means that you can find the common varieties as well as the more obscure grapes. Only improvement to be made would to include more on blending wines. Other than that, a great app! Well done and worth the $!

This app is amazing!!! So much info! Describes the flavour to be expected from each type of wine and includes food pairing suggestions! Search by wine style or grapes, make notes, and look up wine-related terms, all with beautiful retina display! Provides a quick and easy-to-use guide for wine lovers and people who are new to the wonderful world of wine!!! :)
