Broken
Cannot check in without creating account so that non-Chinese phone number is accepted. Then, check-in itself failed to confirm ID despite passport details being entered correctly. No idea how this app is so highly rated - must be mainland users.

注册用的是加拿大手机号和护照，再次登陆使用加拿大手机号收到验证码，却和我说手机号格式不对？格式不对我收到验证码了？然后用他们给的卡号，显示错误。证件登陆就只有身份证，我只绑定了护照怎么登陆？我就不明白了一个登陆系统做成这个样子也是服了！

Cannot check-in from outside China
The check-in process can be done with China mobile number only as verification page defaults the country code to 86, even if you select Canada or any other country. Therefore, you can not verify and check in.

I have 25K in my we chat account and still could not pay. It said something like “ amount. Exceeded”. Apple Pay didn’t work either I assume because the amount is over 20k. Very frustrating...

Cannot even login
When trying to enter Password, it only gives number key pad. There is no way to enter characters. During account registration on Air China website, the created password has to contain characters.
Besides, forcing to associate with mobile number is so annoying. Not everyone has a Chinese local mobile number.

Useless for overseas travelers.
It requires SMS 2FA and restricts to country code 86.
Suggest a fix to the English on the error page. It suggests that I "can only check in for oneself due to constraints of mobile phone verification". In fact I AM trying to check in for myself. I suspect they mean "can only check-in in person due to constraints of mobile phone verification".
Don't bother installing if you are a foreign traveler.
