The stories are great; they’re addictive, eye-catching, and informative. They’re written by authors all around the world. However, my feed and the top feeds are entirely American. I’m Canadian, and always find myself thinking “this relates to me, too!”. The quizzes in English are filled with “which president...”, “which state...”, “which city...”, and more. Buzzfeed consistently ensures it’s well known as American by sticking patriotism in every funny article, quiz, or video. It’s highly unnecessary and frustrating as a Canadian (or any country) consumer. You’re losing a diverse population, Buzzfeed. Get your act together.

I’ve had the app for a couple weeks now and the content is exactly the same as the first time I opened it - the quizzes, everything. I can search to find new content, but the feed hasn’t updated at all. I have tried reinstalling the app and checking for updates, nothing fixes it.

Has been consistently getting worse and worse. Most specifically when it comes to commenting on articles. First, commenting started being disabled on news articles that people would clearly want to talk on. Next, we lost the ability to dislike comments and can only ‘heart’ them, and most recently replies to individual comments have been limited to 3 with the oldest being deleted when someone new comments. Stupid and pointless and allows little to no discourse, which I suppose is the goal.

There are so many spam comments on the articles it’s ridiculous and it doesn’t seem like Buzzfeed is doing anything to get rid of them. I also get logged out of my account so often. The dark mode isn’t working properly as some articles the writing is still in black so I can’t really see what it says. Lastly, why can you only comment on some articles with Facebook???

I get apps like this use ads to generate revenue, but seriously, whoever designed this app is the absolute WORST! If I accidentally touch the app while I’m scrolling, it takes me out of the app to the Apple store. I didn’t even click the ad! I was just scrolling!!!! Fix your app!

Zero change. Programmers for BuzzFeed still have no idea what an iPad even is, let alone know how to code for one. Would they recognize one if they tripped over it? Read reviews below for details. Nothing has changed.

When will BuzzFeed ever figure out just how big the iPad screen is and use anywhere near even half of it’s screen? Still not universal. Still no iPad version. Don’t bother with this app.
Oh, and for *always* deleting reviews that aren’t favourable, you only get ONE (1) star. Make the app truly universal instead of just a higher resolution version of the iPhone/iPod app, make it actually use the iPad’s nice, wide landscape screen, and you’ll get a good review *and* FIVE (5) stars.

Guess what? iPads have a wide screen! And iPad users work in landscape. iPads are not large iPhones/iPod Touches: We do not work in portrait mode.
Yet, the BuzzFeed app only uses the middle portion of the landscape-oriented screen with material running narrowly down the middle.
So, if you own an iPad, uninstall this app ASAP, and just use Safari to go to, and sign in at, BuzzFeed.com in the browser. Do NOT waste your time with this app.
Now, how long ’til BuzzFeed deletes this review … they only seem to keep the favourable reviews now that the App Store lets them “moderate” reviews.
