App keeps crashing when trying to open up a picture from camera roll. You have to close the app and reopen it every time you want a new picture. VERY FRUSTRATING JUST FIX IT ALREADY!!!

I used to use this app all the time. I paid a buck for the painted feature (not both) but now it wants $ again. No go.

Bug
Inklines can be customized, but the buttons are hidden ( maybe one pixel line ) at the bottom of the screen. On the other hand on paint screen you can use palette, but if you press zoom, brushes, undo or home button, there is absolutely no return. It stucks there and you cant use any other button at all. Please fix the bug.

Was a 5 star until recently. New update renders the app useless. I can no longer control the shades of black or grey, cannot control thickness of lines or anything for that matter as the toolbar has disappeared . Very poor update, not something I'm accustomed to from Annie.

What's goign on?!!!
I have iPhone 5 with iOS 7.0.2. Recently updated to the last version.
After taking a shot with the camera, and the Inklines sceeen is displayed, the buttons at the bottom don't appear. So inklines cannot be customized. I guess this is a bug that should be corrected. Otherwise, very happy with the app.

Total Scam
You must pay an extra dollar to access each feature after paying 2 dollars for the app. What a waste of money. The pictures they show as examples are clearly photo shopped. So lame, I only bought this app because I couldn't find anything worth buying in the app store. Do not buy this app, it is a total joke. Can I have a refund?

Dropped support
The number of apps I can actually install on my 3G keep diminishing. I paid for this and suddenly I can't reinstall it because I can't afford to drop $800 on a newer phone.
And I really liked this app.
A word of advice to all developers: if you're going to drop support for an older OS or for hardware, release the product as a new version, keeping the original available in the store, with in app updatability for those who enjoy the newer phones.
No one wants to pick through hundreds of apps and read what is and is not supported prior to updating *every* time they update their phone. It's unreasonable to expect them to when clicking "update all" in iTunes, can save them from minutes to hours of time.

I love ToonPaint
I love to take a photo and pretend I'm an artist!!! LOL! ToonPaint makes even ME look good as an artist. love the impressionistic style you can get. LOVE the new Auto Color and Alpha Brush functions. I don't know how the folks in the hall of fame have the patience to get all that detail. They must have patience! But I love what I can do and all my paintings are on my Apple Tv screensaver and Facebook because I love to look at them and share memories with others.

Why'd I waste my money?
As some noted earlier, you have to pay 3 x .99 for the full app. Not a good deal on an app you already spent 1.99 on. I was frustrated with the lack of control with the brushes. And the whole thing is just generally poorly designed.

I was a user since the old version and I have always been very happy with the app. I have expressed my unsatisfaction regarding the newer version to the developer and they fixed the app soon after. Now I am even a happier user of the app! Thus I decided to rewrite my review and give it 5 stars! :)

Faster and better
With the new rewritten engine and much cleaner interface ToonPaint couldn't have gotten better. Sure there are now some paid add-ons but in exchange the developers can continue to make this the best cartoon creating app on the AppStore. Bravo!

Argh--Don't Update!!!
Before the latest update, this app had a "smooth more" function, and now it's gone. Also, it used to let you use the colour picker on the original photo, NOW I need to pay an extra 99 cents to have that functionality.BOOOOO!!!!!!!
Worst update ever. Who does that? Find a different app.

Great app.
Easy to work with, not difficult to colour as some older reviews have said (you can pinch zoom for better accuracy), and ultimately really fun to mess around with.
The only thing that I think would make this app a whole lot better would be the option to select a crop when importing pictures. Currently I just crop photos with the Photoshop app before importing them into ToonPaint, and while it's not a huge inconvenience, it would be really great to be able to do this from within ToonPaint.
Highly recommended.

This is the coolest app I have. It does everything it claims to do and you end up with the greatest Warhol and Van Gough like art imaginable. Totally worth the money and highly recommended! Coluring requires a steady hand and patience but can be done in minutes, not hours as has been claimed.

Very Impressive.
Great App. Loads of fun. Does a really nice job creating cartoon images. The better quality pic used the better results. My major complaint is in the coloring control of the image. You can't get close enough to do fine detail and its very easy to accidently paint just trying to move the image. My suggestion for the developers would be to look at the interface of the Color Splash app (also worth getting) and take some notes... Otherwise this app is top notch. Get it.

I absolutely love this application! It works great, it doesn't lag at all and it doesn't take long to load. Getting used to painting can take a few tries, but once you get it down it's easy. It works on pictures with good lighting better than dark/light ones. Definitely worth the money.

Excellent, nearly flawless
Amazing app, well worth the price. Does what it says and does it brilliantly, even on my first generation iTouch. The conversion of an image takes seconds, and then you can do accurate overall adjustments to the sensitivity of the edges, the amount of grey, the thickness of the blacks, to get the final image. Colouring is a little bit clunky, even when zoomed in to the max. I'd like to see a smaller brush size. But that complaint is minor compared to what this app can do.

This application is amazing at exactly what it claims to do. Excelling with the amount of different settings and variations which allow you to modify your picture to be just how you want it.
I had many doubts, previous apps claiming to do a similar job failed to do so. When I read that this app allows you to 'cartoonize' AND colour your images, I quickly doubted its performance. But I'm not that quick to judge, I read further and was curious enough to purchase and find out how well this app worked myself.
I'm not going to list all the adjustments, (read the descriptions for that) but I will say that I'm happy with the amount of power given to adjust each creation instead of letting the app do it all for me (which it still can if I set it to). I also like the colour wheel, both hue and tone options are great. There is also a return to default option which came in handy. Overall, great app.
* Potential updates and modifications *
Id like to add, if I may, the option to undo more times (and a direct shortcut). Also the ability to adjust the softness amount while previewing it while adjusting, as well as being able to undo the softness applied instead of restarting. Other than that, flawless.
I'd say, of the $500+ that I've spent on apps, this one would have to be top 5 for its use, ability, and best value. It does what it says, honesty always wins. Thanks.

Good app for people who like to colour and doodle; I like how you're able to take a picture with the iPhone or from your library and then colour it.
Fun when you're bored and great app if you want to keep a really annoying kid occupied for a while.

Pretty cool, unfortunate bug
Pretty fun to play with! Enjoyed making some pretty entertaining pics of my friends. Sometimes crashes just after capturing photos in app. Not especially useful but worth keeping around for being bored at school or work. I'm amused, you might be too.
